Growing VPAR Brand Recognized by NY Times and Charitable Foundations

VPAR Surpasses Growth Goals in App Downloads and Charity Partnerships

(New York, NY) – VPAR (www.vpar.com) – the award-winning live scoring mobile golf app and tournament service – heads into the 4th quarter of 2015 riding momentum from its most successful year of business.

Downloads are up over 20% on forecasted figures and the number of active users has steadily risen all year, peaking with an additional 15% increase last month. Availability for Android devices and the launch of a live Europe-wide amateur tournament – The Your Golf Travel Championship Powered by VPAR - are primary catalysts for such growth.

Publications like The New York Times are recognizing the app as a game changer for golf, featuring VPAR as an “App Smart” pick for tournament play and detailed GPS course planning:

“[VPAR] has a tournament feature that lets you set up and score, in real time. There’s a GPS planner that shows your position on the course, the layout of each hole and the distance to the green.”

Earlier this summer, the app was a top-5 download in the Apple App Store “Sports” category.

“We’re still relatively new to the North American market, so the response from users, investors and industry supporters has really exceeded our expectations,” says VPAR President and Managing Director Jason Stoop. “We’ve always been confident that our service filled a need for amateur golfers, and now we’re seeing the type of mass adoption we always envisioned.”

VPAR technology is also available as a Club Platform, and Tournament Management service for corporate and charity outings. In 2015, the company scored nearly 1,000 events, 115 on behalf of charitable organizations from the likes of The Ronald McDonald House, Make-a-Wish, ESPN and The New York Yankees.

VPAR’s simple interface provides live match leaderboards, GPS data, stat analysis and more to produce the most enthralling and engaging golf experience possible.
