GolfAdvisor.com Setting Traffic Records as More Golfers Provide Reviews and Recommendations

Week-to-Week Growth Continues April’s Momentum as the Best Month Ever

(ORLANDO, Fla.) – Golf’s leading course review and recommendation website by golfers, for golfers – GolfAdvisor.com – saw a 20 percent spike in weekly traffic during last week’s PLAYERS Championship, continuing the site’s recent momentum highlighted by its best April on record.

Riding the excitement of one of the most compelling tournaments so far this year, activity on Golf Channel’s GolfAdvisor.com during the week of May 4 was up for both unique visits and page views over the previous week, which included increases via tablets (+19% / +39%) and mobile devices (+28% / +39%).

This growth follows the best month ever for GolfAdvisor.com in April. Both unique visitors and page views during the month surpassed the previous records – March 2015 and July 2014, respectively – by 15 percent. Those key metrics also increased more than 500% year over year.

Currently featuring more than 370,000 golf course reviews of more than 9,000 courses around the world, GolfAdvisor.com is designed as a one-stop, customized experience for golfers of all levels where they can find honest recommendations from their peers and also be offered the opportunity to provide their own feedback about any course they play, anywhere, anytime. From any computer or mobile device, golfers can submit star-based ratings on public and private courses, alike, for categories such as pace of play, difficulty, conditions, staff friendliness, value, food and beverage. Reviewers are provided an open-ended text entry, and the ability to upload photos and video.
