PGA National Announces ‘Own The Champion Course for a Day’

Exclusive Use of PGA TOUR Honda Classic Venue for Up to 50 Players

(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) – PGA National Resort & Spa – home of the PGA TOUR Honda Classic and former Ryder Cup venue – announces its exclusive “Own The Champion Course for a Day” offer through Sept. 31, 2015.

Few layouts have a golf history as storied as the Champion Course. In addition to the Honda Classic, its impressive resume includes hosting the 1983 Ryder Cup, 1987 PGA Championship, nearly two decades of the Senior PGA Championship and this year’s final stage of the Web.com Q-school. It is also the current setting for Golf Channel’s “Big Break” series.

The lauded track is home to the legendary “Bear Trap” (Nos. 15-17). The daunting trifecta continues to live up to its reputation as one of the most testing gauntlets in the sport. USA Today called The Bear Trap “one of the toughest stretches in golf.”

Groups of up to 50 may have exclusive use of the acclaimed Jack Nicklaus-designed 18 for $25,000. This one-of-a-kind offer additionally includes:
* Private PGA TOUR quality range facilities with professional golf instruction
* Tournament scoring
* Caddies or golf carts (caddie gratuities are extra)
* Continental breakfast with non-alcoholic beverages
* Signature “Bear Trap” bag tag
* Group photo at the famed Bear Trap
* Resort locker room access

This package is not available to previously booked groups. Contact Jane Broderick, PGA National’s Director of Golf, at jane.broderick@pgaresort.com or 561.227.2551 for more information and to make reservations.

“This is an incredible opportunity for your group to have the acclaimed Champion Course and mighty Bear Trap all to yourselves for an entire day,” says Joel Paige, Vice President and Managing Director of PGA National.

The legendary destination is the only resort in Florida with five championship courses. It also has the unique distinction of being home to both the David Leadbetter Golf Academy and Dave Pelz Scoring Game School, along with offering a PGA TOUR-level fitting experience at the PGA National Club Fitting Lab.  At the off-site Estates Course, the resort additionally offers Every Ball Counts – the world’s first science-based, statistics-driven training system for golf improvement.
