Jimmy Walker Looks to Defend His 2014 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Title

Champions Tour in Naples for ACE Group Classic; European Tour Stages Inaugural True Thailand Classic

(ORLANDO, Fla.) – The AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am this week teams PGA TOUR professionals with celebrities from Hollywood and the entertainment industry on one of the world’s most iconic golf venues. Current FedExCup points leader Jimmy Walker is in the field, looking to defend his 2014 title. The Champions Tour is in Florida for the second consecutive week for the ACE Group Classic in Naples. The True Thailand Classic, a new event being co-sanctioned by the European Tour and Asian Tour, will stage its inaugural event this week, marking the first time since 2007 that the European Tour will host an official event in Thailand.

Course rotation: The two-man teams (one PGA TOUR professional, one celebrity amateur golfer) in the field will complete one round each at Pebble Beach, Spyglass Hill and Monterey Peninsula Thursday-Saturday, and the top-60 professionals (and ties), as well as the top 25 Pro-Am teams after 54 holes will advance to Sunday’s final round at Pebble Beach.

Walker defends: Current FedExCup points leader Jimmy Walker finished one shot ahead of Dustin Johnson and Jim Renner to earn his third career PGA TOUR win.

Final group fate: The winner of the ACE Group Classic has come out of the last grouping in the final round in each of the last 14 years. The last time a winner came from outside of the final group was in 2000 when Golf Channel analyst Lanny Wadkins shot a final-round 64 to eventually win in a playoff.
