JumboMax Grips help Team USA clinch victory at the 29th Biennial World Amateur Team Championships

(Fort Wayne, IN) - JumboMax Grips helped Team USA capture a win this past weekend at the 29th Biennial World Amateur Team Championships held at Karuizawa 72 East in Japan. Team USA collected the Eisenhower Trophy by finishing ahead of a field of 67 international teams who competed in the Men's Division this year. One of the USA team members, who played a key role in clinching the victory, has been using JumboMax oversized grips for several years now.

Conducted by the International Golf Federation (IGF), which comprises the national governing bodies of golf in more than 125 countries, the World Amateur Team Championships are a biennial international amateur golf competition rotated among three geographic zones of the world: Asia-Pacific, American and European-African. IGF National Federation Members may enter one women's team and one men's team. Players must be amateur golfers under the Rules of Amateur Status of the R&A and the United States Golf Association and nationals of the countries they represent. The World Amateur Team Championships showcase the top amateur golfers in the world competing against one another in a stroke play format. The IGF is the international federation for golf for the International Olympic Committee and will conduct the Olympic golf competition in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

"One of the common misconceptions about our grips is that they are for mid to high handicap golfers only," said John Mazzanoble V.P. of Sales for JumboMax. "But that's not true. JumboMax grips are designed to help golfers of all skill levels. From high-handicappers to world class amateurs and Tour Professionals, every golfer out there can benefit from this technology. We're excited to have played a part in Team USA's victory and want to congratulate all the team members on a hard fought victory."
