Pleasant Hughes Remains in the Lead after 36 Holes at the 89th Middle Atlantic PGA Championship

(Richmond, Va.) – Even the rain and a one hour weather delay couldn’t cool off Pleasant Hughes, PGA as he remains in the lead at the 2014 Middle Atlantic PGA Professional Championship at the Country Club of Virginia. After playing his first round on the par 72 Tuckahoe Creek Course, Hughes, an assistant professional at Chevy Chase Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland, shot a 3-under par 69 on the James River Course and now sits at 10-under par for the event.  Hughes played the front nine holes at even par, but finished his round by making birdie on three out of the last five holes.  He takes a four stroke lead heading into the final round. The cut fell at 152 for two rounds, with 62 Professionals making to the final round.
