TaylorMade Golf Tour Staff Professional Brendon Todd wins HP Byron Nelson Championship

Todd Played Tour Preferred Irons and Wedges to Register First PGA TOUR Victory

(CARLSBAD, Calif.) – In a week where TaylorMade drivers were used by a staggering 81 players (51.9%) in the field, TaylorMade Tour staff player Brendon Todd added his name to the list of first-time winners on the PGA TOUR this season, capturing the HP Byron Nelson Championship after posting a 68-64-68-66 266 (-14) total at the TPC Four Seasons Resort in Irving, Texas.

Entering the final round atop the leaderboard, Todd played the new Tour Preferred CB irons to hit long and high launching shots into the greens, setting himself up for multiple scoring opportunities. In addition to his stellar iron play, Todd also played the recently-launched Tour Preferred wedges, featuring the most aggressive groove TaylorMade has ever produced for exceptional spin and control on all shots.

His win is yet another for TaylorMade’s acclaimed Tour Preferred irons, which feature speed pocket technology in the 3-through 7-irons to increase ball speed low on the face to deliver more consistent ballspeed and launch conditions across the entire face.

With the win, Todd earns 500 FedExCup points and is projected to jump from 51st to 11th in the FedExCup Point standings. He is the eighth first-time winner on the PGA TOUR this season.

In Todd’s Bag:
* R1 Driver
* SLDR Fairway (15°)
* RBZ Stage 2 Tour Rescue (18.5°)
* Tour Preferred CB Irons (4-9)
* Tour Preferred Wedges (47°, 52° & 56°)
