SCOR4161 Recognized By Golf Magazine’s “ClubTest” 2014 - 'One of The Top Wedges Tested'

(Victoria, TX) – SCOR Golf announced that its innovative SCOR4161 line of precision scoring clubs were “one of the top- rated wedges tested” in Golf Magazine’s annual ClubTest 2014 equipment review.  Amateur golfers ranging in handicaps from 1 to 21 tested the SCOR wedges against nine other brands in a variety of playing conditions on the course, driving range and short game practice area.  Not one other wedge outscored the SCOR4161 in the test. Results can be found in Golf Magazine’s June 2014 issue.

“We are honored to again be recognized by Golf Magazine’s real golfer testing as one of the top rated wedges tested,” said Terry Koehler, President of SCOR Golf.  “These independent club testers have confirmed what thousands of SCOR4161 owners as well as independent “Iron Byron” robotic testing have proven - that SCOR4161 represents a complete re-invention of the short end of the set, and they deliver considerably more forgiveness and improved accuracy over conventional wedges and set match ‘game improvement’ short irons.  For our SCOR4161clubs to again be recognized by Golf Magazine’s Clubtest 2014 as one the best wedges tested is further validation that SCOR Golf is the innovation leader when it comes to scoring clubs technology and performance.”

Highlights of the Golf Magazine ClubTest 2014 include:
-  “One of the top-rated wedges….a strong overall performer”
-  “…the balance and weighting translates to blue ribbon responsiveness”
-  “Classic look…gives testers confidence in the address position”
-  “The V-Sole performs from all types of lies”
- “Testers could control spin and yardage on nearly every swing; more consistent and accurate than most of its competitors”
- “SCOR wedges throw a lot of bull’s-eyes…good touch around the greens”
- “Offers all the feedback you need”

Golf Magazine’s ClubTest 2014 testers confirmed what we set out to do - create innovative solutions to help golfers improve their scoring range performance,” added Koehler. “Influenced by my time spent with the Ben Hogan Golf Company, our 25 plus years of research and testing has culminated in the development of the most comprehensive package of scoring technologies ever assembled.  Golfers no longer should talk about ‘just wedges,’ but now can ensure themselves the advantage of a complete ‘scoring system’ for shots inside 8-iron range. Every feature of these clubs is there to provide measurable shot making/scoring benefits for golfers of all abilities.”
