Palmetto Dunes’ Blue & Greens Package Combines New JetBlue Service with Lowcountry Golf

(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.) – Good news for New Yorkers and Bostonians looking to escape this winter’s especially brutal weather: Beginning Feb. 13, JetBlue Airways begins flying into the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport from both Boston Logan and JFK. A new package from Hilton Head Island’s Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort, named to Travel + Leisure’s list of World’s Best Family Resorts 2013, combines JetBlue’s competitive fares with the best golf on the resort’s three championship golf courses, including one oceanfront.

The Blue & Greens package gives guests a nonrefundable $200 gift card good for any flight with JetBlue, 3 or more nights in a 2-bedroom vacation villa at Palmetto Dunes, two rounds of golf on any of the resort’s three award-winning golf courses, two hours of tennis court time daily at Tennis Magazine’s No. 1 tennis facility in the Carolinas, three days of bike rentals for biking the island’s 50 miles of paved bike paths, as well as preferred rates and priority access to all resort activities and amenities.

Pricing for the package starts at $180 per person per night based on availability for a minimum of three nights of accommodations, a 20% savings off of regular resort rates. All taxes and fees are included. To book the package or for more information, please call 877-567-6513 or visit www.palmettodunes.com.

“There’s no doubt that the country has had it with winter, and with the addition of JetBlue to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, it just got a lot easier to fly to the island,” says Karen Kozemchak, director of marketing for the resort. “We wanted to welcome Bostonians and New Yorkers to our beautiful island and introduce them to the resort’s wealth of activities with this fun package that highlights our amazing golf. Plus, they can expect average highs in the mild 60’s throughout February.”

A top golfing vacation destination in South Carolina, Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort offers three courses – the oceanfront Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course, the George Fazio Course and the Arthur Hills Course -- in the natural setting of Hilton Head Island. Designed by three legendary golf architects, each course is distinctly different and challenging. All of Palmetto Dunes’ courses have been ranked 4 stars or higher by Fodors, earning the distinction of one of the World’s Best Golf Resorts by Travel + Leisure Golf.
