Donald Trump, Family Unveil New Blue Monster Golf Course at Trump National Doral, Miami

(MIAMI) - Thursday morning, Donald J. Trump, president and chairman of The Trump Organization, accompanied by Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric Trump, executive vice presidents of development and acquisitions, officially opened the world-famous Blue Monster golf course at Trump National Doral Miami, one of the newest additions to the TRUMP HOTEL COLLECTION.

Donald Trump, along with esteemed Olympic course architect Gil Hanse, have spent the last year redesigning and building the championship course, which is now open and already receiving rave reviews. The Blue Monster, known as an icon in the industry and a host to the PGA TOUR for over 50 years, has undergone a total transformation and features completely new greens, traps, fairways tees and even lakes that are bigger and better than ever before. It is a completely new course.

"Trump National Doral will soon become, upon completion of the Red Tiger and Golden Palm golf courses, the greatest golf resort in the United States, with the brand new and truly amazing Blue Monster - there will be nothing like it," stated Donald J. Trump, Chairman & President of the Trump Organization.

The Trump Organization promised from the beginning to create a far more beautiful, challenging and spectacular course than the original, and they have delivered. Trump has not only spent millions of dollars enhancing and redeveloping the new course from a design perspective, but also added a brand new infrastructure which allows for the course to be maintained to the highest conditioning standards.

Architect, Gil Hanse stated, "This is one of the most exciting projects that I have ever had the privilege to work on. The property itself, being all sand based, is very unusual and unique --- and a tremendous asset for a golf course. On top of it all, its location, in the middle of Miami, is unprecedented."

In addition to creating a brand new course for players, changes have been implemented to specifically benefit the fans. Over a million yards of undulation has been added so spectators can easily watch the greatest players in the world, one month from today, as they compete at the World Golf Championships - Cadillac Championship. The Trump family's continued commitment to cater to all of their guests needs, players and spectators alike, is perfectly aligned with their dedication to provide personalized service on every level.

The practice facility at Trump National Doral has also seen a major transformation. It is now five times the original size and includes a newly created driving range, short game, chipping and putting area. The new facility also includes a state of the art LED lighting system, the first of its kind in the world, allowing for practice well into the night.

As part of the extensive renovation, Trump National Doral Miami's five championship golf courses will all be enhanced and some are anticipating the Gil Hanse designed Gold Course and Red Course to rival the incredible Blue Monster.

Other noteworthy changes at Trump National Doral include a newly designed hotel lobby; a completely new and remodeled swimming complex known as The Royal Palm Pool, featuring a lush landscape and an expansive patio design along with 22 lavish cabanas; over 100,000 square feet of six elegant indoor and outdoor premier event venues; Clubhouse improvements with an incredible new golf shop - one of the largest in the Country and added modern locker room facilities; a celebrated 48,000 square foot resort spa with over 100 signature spa treatments and services; and a fully redesigned state of the art fitness center. Additionally, all new restaurant and bar concepts will be introduced to the property in early 2014, including the critically acclaimed BLT Prime, which will welcome guests for the first time during WGC- Cadillac Championship tournament week.
