Golf Channel to Air 'The Patriot Cup presented by Budweiser' Throughout Veterans Day Week

Special features Folds of Honor scholarship families, TOUR players and celebrities

(OWASSO, Okla.) – Golf Channel will air “The Patriot Cup presented by Budweiser,” a golf event hosted by Folds of Honor to support the families of our nation’s fallen and disabled service members. A 90-minute extended special airs tonight with 60-minute features to air throughout the week and into December.

Filmed during Memorial Day weekend at The Patriot Golf Course in Owasso, Okla., The Patriot Cup paired top PGA TOUR players, Champions Tour players and celebrities with members of the military in a Ryder Cup-style match pitting the Ground Pounders (Army/Marines/Navy), captained by Tom Lehman, against the Fly Boys (Air Force), captained by Corey Pavin.

The special, hosted by Morning Drive anchor Gary Williams with on-course commentary from David Feherty, will combine footage of featured golfers Rickie Fowler, Zach Johnson, Bo Van Pelt and Gary Woodland and participating celebrities Craig T. Nelson and Dierks Bentley along with stories from Folds of Honor scholarship recipients.

“Each year, The Patriot Cup brings together the golf and celebrity realms to play alongside and celebrate our American heroes,” said Major Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor founder. “We’re honored to continue sharing this event and inspirational stories from our scholarship recipients with viewers during Veterans Day week and beyond.”

Golf Channel is scheduled to broadcast The Patriot Cup special on the following days and times:
