Oakmont Golf Club Owner Retains KemperSports for Golf Course Management

36-Hole Iconic Club in Sonoma Wine Country Serves as 20th KemperSports-managed Property in California

(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports, the most trusted name in golf, announced that it has been selected to manage the Oakmont Golf Club (OGC), a semi-private, member owned, golf club located in the vibrant Oakmont  Retirement Community in Santa Rosa, Calif. Oakmont Golf Club has garnered a reputation for providing courses that give players, of every level of proficiency, a wonderful golfing experience, all within the picturesque surroundings of the Mayacama Mountains.

Oakmont offers two 18-hole layouts – the Championship West Course offers challenging green complexes with strategically placed bunkers, while the par-63 East Course delivers a similar golf experience on a smaller scale with additional bunkering and water hazards. The courses offer scenic views of the Annadel State Park Forest.

Both courses are designed by Ted Robinson. Robinson, a past President of the American Society of Golf Course Architects, gained acclaim for more than 160 design projects, including Sahalee Country Club, host of the 1998 PGA Championship.

The golf club includes a clubhouse, grill, restaurant facilities used for special occasions and a large banquet space. In addition to 36 holes of golf, the golf facilities, contain two golf shops, features a full practice area at the West Course, that includes a double-sided driving range, with grass and matts, a practice bunker, a chipping green  and putting greens at both courses.
