Matt Kuchar Relies on Bettinardi to win the Memorial Tournament

(Tinley Park, IL) - Bettinardi Golf, maker of the world's finest milled putters, claimed their 3rd victory of 2013 as Matt Kuchar won The Memorial by 2 strokes on Sunday at Muirfield Village Golf Course in Dublin, Ohio. Matt trusted his Bettinardi Kuchar Model 1 for his 2nd victory in 2013, firing a convincing final round, 4-under-par 68 which also makes him only the 2nd player with multiple wins this year. Kuchar ranked 2nd in the field for total putts gained and also was 2nd with 20 birdies thru 4 rounds. Kuchar, who was coming off a 2nd place finish last week, was determined to win as he beat one of the strongest fields of the year and moved from No. 9 to No. 4 in the official world golf rankings.

"Matt is really locked in right now and has total control of his putting," said Bob Bettinardi, President of Bettinardi Golf. "It looks like he can make anything he looks at and that just exudes confidence throughout the rest of his game, Bettinardi Golf is very proud to have Matt Kuchar representing our brand. With the recent announcement from the USGA and R&A which will ban the anchored putting stroke, Matt's putter will remain legal and we offer the putter used by the man who strokes it best."

Bettinardi Golf signed Matt Kuchar to a multi-year deal where Bettinardi will exclusively manufacture Matt's signature line of putters. The signature models are available now in two different head shapes and lengths. Model 1 features a 42-inch heel-toe weighted, face balanced wide body blade that has 7 degrees of loft, 2.5 shaft offset, and features Bettinardi’ s patented F.I.T. (Feel Impact Technology) Face. Model 1 is also available in a 35 inch length, 3 degrees of loft and 1 shaft offset. Model 2 is a soft, pear-shaped, face-balanced mallet that features the same specs as the Model 1 in Matt’s style, and conventional length.
