Volvik's Vista iV 4-Piece Golf Ball Named Golf Digest Hot List Winner

Volvik, the #1 Color Golf Ball on Tour, announced that Golf Digest has awarded their Vista iV golf balls with a 2013 HOT LIST award.

The Vista iV has more color options available than any other golf ball named to the HOT LIST as it is available in Yellow, Orange, Green, Pink and White.

The Volvik Vista iV won Golf Digest's Golf Ball HOT LIST in Volvik USA's first year as a company. This new four-piece offering earned a Silver Medal in the $36 and over category. Golf Digest awarded the Vista iV 4 stars (out of five) for Performance, 3 ½ stars for Innovation and 3 ½ stars for Feel. The Vista iV is now available at retail for $47.99 per dozen.

The HOT LIST awards for golf balls appears in the magazine's June issue, which hit the newsstands this week. The Golf Digest Ball HOT LIST is a comprehensive evaluation and testing of golf balls that combines feedback from Golf Digest editors, scientists, robot testing and a panel of 20 player testers.

"We are extremely honored to receive a Golf Digest HOT LIST award in our first year out with our high-end, ultra-high performance 3-piece and 4-piece lines," said Volvik USA President Don Shin. "It means a great deal to us to be recognized as one of the best golf balls in the world due to the fact that we spend more money on manufacturing our golf balls and because we have excelled in innovation using different materials and techniques that no one else has utilized before. It took a great deal of hard work and vision from our golf ball R&D team, who spent the last four years coming up with the designs. All of our technology is our own."

The new 4-piece Vista iV from Volvik provides world leading technology with 12 worldwide patents and features a soft feel and longer distance achieved by the world's first patented dual core featuring a soft outer layer and a hard inner core. The dual core optimizes distance by transferring the power from the more solid inner core to the softer outer layer instead of transferring inertia from a soft inner core to a solid outer layer like much of the competition. The outer layer also reduces excess driver spin, increasing the moment of inertia and centrifugal force, leading to more distance and more roll. The Zirconium mixed outer cover creates optimal spin separation generated by the more solid inner core creating longer distance off the driver and long irons while the spin increases closer to the green due to the soft outer core, producing higher spin in short irons for total control. Zirconium is ceramic based and makes the cover softer, yet more durable and more explosive.

"The consumer reviews and the recognition from the national media has been outstanding for Volvik in our first year in the US market," said Volvik National Director of Sales and Marketing Jon Claffey. "We have known for a while that we have something special on our hands here in terms of performance. It really makes us smile to see how many positive reviews and awards we are receiving from people trying us for the first time. It's always nice to not only match someone's expectations, but then to surpass them in a big way. That has always been the goal for us."
