New Wave Group Assumes Sales, Management of AHEAD Headwear, Apparel Brand in Canada

(TORONTO) — AHEAD’s parent company, New Wave Group AB has taken over sales management of the innovative headwear, accessories and apparel company’s brand in Canada.

“This is a positive move to maximize our growth potential in Canada,” said Anne Broholm, CEO of AHEAD.  “It will streamline the experience for our Canadian customers, and mirror the way the AHEAD brand and products are presented in the United States.”

Broholm added that Canada will now have access to the same product availability and embellishment options as U.S. customers.

Shane Brett, national sales manager for New Wave Group, will manage the new Canadian division.  Based in Toronto, Brett has extensive experience in headwear and apparel, with more than 17 years in the golf business at the wholesale and retail level.

“Based on the customer feedback I’ve already received, there is an obvious demand for the AHEAD brand in Canada,” Brett said.  “People are very excited to see us entering the Canadian market in a big way.”

New Wave Group has been consistently making significant investments into its Canadian operations, including the acquisition of Paris Glove in 2011.  This provided an established base of entry in Canada for other New Wave companies.  The merging of AHEAD headwear, apparel and accessories into New Wave’s Canadian division was the next logical step toward further business growth.

AHEAD is best known for its premier headwear collections that feature original approaches to logo embroidery options.  Founded in 1995, AHEAD has been able to capitalize on the golf industry’s desire for high-quality graphics on headwear and an array of garments.  The company’s Canadian offerings include AHEAD apparel and Kate Lord for women.
