Las Vegas' Golf Summerlin hosts charity fundraising tournament

Golf Summerlin, home of some of the best courses in the valley, is teaming up with A Level Playing Field Foundation to host their inaugural Raising Funds by Raising Awareness Golf Tournament at Palm Valley Golf Course.

A Level Playing Field Foundation will donate 100 percent of the net proceeds to the Rancho High School football program in an effort to revive the rich football history of this economically challenged community by providing uniforms, gear and equipment needed to train and outfit a team.

Several well known former NFL football players will be part of this memorable kickoff event; including QB Gus Frerotte, Heisman winners Johnny Rogers and Eric Crouch, in addition to many other locals who played in the NFL. The post-tournament luncheon and awards ceremony will provide opportunities for photos and autographs with the players.

Registration for this event is required. All interested participants and sponsors can make reservations directly through A Level Playing Field Foundation's website: www.alevelplayingfield.org.

Attendees may select from the following:

A Level Playing Field Foundation came from the inspiration and experiences of founder Susan T. Spencer. Formerly a local radio show producer and host - Not Just Sports - Susan was General Counsel and GM of the Philadelphia Eagles, the first and only woman to ever hold both positions. It was during those years with the Eagles that she learned firsthand the impact and benefit competitive sports teams can have on disadvantaged youth. Starting with Clark County (Las Vegas) schools, A Level Playing Field Foundation brings together retired and active players, alumni and students, sponsors and participants to create a unified support needed to provide the winning environment that can foster winning attitudes.
