Softspikes Supports Our Troops

Softspikes donates $1,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project

(BRENTWOOD, Tenn.) - Softspikes, the world's best-selling golf cleat brand and maker of the #1 Cleat in Golf, has teamed up with the Wounded Warrior Project. Supporting our troops has been a main focus for Softspikes this year, starting at the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show.

During the PGA Merchandise Show's Demo Day, pros had an option to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project through entering a raffle or getting a fresh cleat change for their shoes. The raffle gave people the chance to win a PGA Pro autographed driver, along with a headcover and hat. The patriotic red, white and blue Pulsar cleat was available for anyone that wanted to support the troops, as a donation was made for each cleat change made. After changing more than 300 pairs of cleats and collecting donations through the raffle, more than $500 was raised in honor of the Wounded Warrior Project.

Due to high demand, the donations did not end after the 2013 PGA Merchandise Show. Softspikes extended the contributions through the end of February. A portion of retail sales of the red, white and blue Pulsar cleats was donated to the Wounded Warrior Project by presenting Tim Coop, Alumni Manager, the grand total of $1,000 at the Wounded Warrior office in Nashville, TN.

"It was amazing to see how many people wanted to support the Wounded Warrior Project at Demo Day," said John Hohman, Vice President of Marketing, PrideSports. "We have been very proud to learn more about this great organization and look forward to improving our contribution for 2014."

Softspikes' patented Dynamic Cleat Technology allows its cleats to be responsive to all terrains - Tee Boxes, Fairways, Roughs, Greens, etc - providing confidence on every swing of the club. In other words, longer drives, better iron shots and lower scores. For more information on Softspikes, please visit www.softspikes.com.
