Billy Casper Golf to Manage Beekman Golf Course

(VIENNA, VA) - Billy Casper Golf (BCG) - the largest domestic owner-operator of golf courses, country clubs and resorts - has been selected to manage Beekman Golf Course in Hopewell Junction, NY, less than 90 minutes north of Manhattan.

BCG will provide turnkey management of Beekman's operations, golf course and property maintenance, sales, marketing and public relations, staffing and training, merchandising, restaurant and banquet activities, special events, golf instruction and financial management.

"Billy Casper Golf's management philosophy aligns perfectly for our ownership group," says Phil Shatz, Chair of the Beekman Golf Board of Directors. "The company pays detailed attention to programming, guest experiences and course presentation."

"With a gorgeous mountain setting and excellent layout, Beekman is poised for growth," says Peter Hill, Chairman and CEO of BCG. "Our mandate is increase rounds, outings and special events, and earn golfers loyalties."

BCG will enact its proprietary "BCGreen" initiative at Beekman to conserve, protect and enhance the environment, and enroll the course in the Audubon International "Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary" program. The result is increased efficiencies in maintenance, energy, water, pesticides, fertilizer, equipment wear and labor.

Located where the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains rise from the Hudson Valley, the 27-hole Beekman Golf Course - which celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2012 - features three distinct nine-hole layouts.

The Highland nine holes emanate from the clubhouse and gradually climb to 510 feet with spectacular views of the Hudson Valley and Stormville Mountain. Boasting fairways lined with dogwood trees in full bloom each spring, Highland has the most picturesque setting and features its signature par-3, No. 4 hole that requires golfers to carry 192 yards from the tips.

The newly designed Valley nine holes debuted last year. Excitement abounds as water comes into play on the approach shot on the he No. 2 hole and tee shot on No. 9.

The Taconic nine holes are the most challenging to golfers. They showcase narrow fairways which require precise shot-making and water guarding the green on the par-5 No. 6 hole test golfers' mettle.

A large driving range, putting green, chipping area and practice bunker ensures golfers hone their games between rounds. The clubhouse includes a fully-stocked pro shop, restaurant and event space, making Beekman a natural setting for corporate outings, meetings and other social events.
