Longaberger Golf Club Receives Golf Digest Honors

Ranked among America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses, Best in State

(NASHPORT, Ohio) – Longaberger Golf Club, managed by Billy Casper Golf, has moved up five spots to No. 51 on Golf Digest’s “America’s 100 Greatest Public Golf Courses 2013-2014” biennial list.

Longaberger rated the highest among courses in Ohio open to the public, and garnered a top-20 spot among all courses – private and public – in the golf-rich state.  Courses are rated by panelists based on seven criteria: shot values, resistance to scoring, design variety, memorability, aesthetics, conditioning and ambience.

“Longaberger continues to be the most playable golf course in Ohio,” said General Manager and Director of Golf Danny Ackerman. “We take great pride in having a top-notch course that has been consistently ranked nationally, which offers affordability for the average player.”

The Arthur Hills design, located less than an hour from Columbus, received a number of accolades in 2012 including being named to GOLF Magazine’s bienniall “Top 100 Courses You Can Play” in America list and ranked as the No. 1 public course in Ohio by both GOLF Magazine and Golfweek Magazine for the past several years.

Early spring rates begin March 1 and start at $59 for 18 holes with cart.  Stay-and-play packages include two rounds of golf and a one night stay at the new Newark Metropolitan Hotel starting at $138 per person.  For more information please visit www.longabergergolfclub.com.
