KemperSports Names Bob Swezey as General Manager of Andover Golf and Country Club


(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) - KemperSports, a leading golf course management company, has announced the appointment of Bob Swezey as General Manager of Andover Golf and Country Club in Lexington, Ky. Swezey has more than 30 years' experience in the golf industry, including previous positions with KemperSports from 2001-2005 as a regional director of operations and general manager..

"We are delighted to have Bob on board as the general manager of Andover," said KemperSports chief executive officer Steve Skinner. "Bob is a strong manager and very member focused."

Swezey most recently served as executive vice president of golf operations for Burroughs & Chapin Company in Myrtle Beach, S.C. from 2005-2012. At Burroughs & Chapin, Swezey managed operations for nine golf facilities in the Myrtle Beach-area, including Grande Dunes Resort, Tidewater Golf Club and Pine Lakes Country Club.

Prior to his tenure in South Carolina, Swezey's experience includes four years as the PGA Club Manager at Fawn Lake Country Club in Spotsylvania, Va. and two years as the PGA head golf professional at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.
