KemperSports Names Alan Walker as General Manager of PipeStone Golf Club


(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports, a leading golf course management company, has announced the hiring of Alan Walker as general manager of PipeStone Golf Club in Miamisburg, Ohio. Walker has more than 20 years of experience in the golf industry, specializing in sales, operations and management.

“Alan has exceptional experience in the golf industry and has proven his leadership abilities at several renowned golf facilities,” said Steve Skinner, chief executive officer for KemperSports. “We look forward to continued success at PipeStone under Alan’s leadership.”

Prior to joining KemperSports, Walker was the director of golf at Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Fla. from 2006-2012. During his tenure at Orange County, Walker was instrumental in managing staff to host more than 95,000 annual rounds and draw high-profile events such as the PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day, which has been held annually at the facility since 2006. Prior to his experience at Orange County, Walker served as the director of golf (1998-2006) and head golf professional (1991-1998) at Seabrook Island Golf Club in Charleston, S.C.

Walker began his career in the golf industry as an assistant golf professional at Innisbrook Resort in Tarpon Springs, Fla. where he managed daily operations at the Sandpiper Golf Course.

PipeStone is an 18-hole, Arthur Hills-designed golf course that received a 4-star rating on Golf Digest’s list of “Best Places to Play” in 2006-2007.
