Former Georgia Tech All-American golfer, Chan Song has been named to the cast of “Big Break Greenbrier,” the 17th installment in the Golf Channel’s reality series. The series features 12 men looking to find their next step on the way to playing on the PGA Tour.

The series, shot and produced at the Greenbrier in W. Va., premieres Oct. 2 at 9 p.m. It’s an 11-week battle at The Greenbrier Resort to come back for a coveted exemption into the 2013 Greenbrier Classic.

Song, 29, came to Tech from Orlando, Fla., and currently resides in Cartersville, Ga. He became a two-time All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer and earned second-team All-American honors as a senior after making the GCAA's honorable mention teams twice (2002, 2004). A workhorse competitor who played in all but one tournament (48 of 49) in his Georgia Tech career, Song had 23 top-20 finishes and 11 top-10s in his career. He made the ACC Academic Honor Roll all four years at Tech, and was named an All-American Scholar by the GCAA as a junior and a senior.

Since graduating from Tech in 2006, Song has played on various professional tours, including the Asian Tour and the Canadian Tour, where he is competing this year after taking time away rehabilitating a hand injury. He also has entered the business side of golf and serves as vice-president of sales for SeeMore Putter Company.
