Starting Time Introduces Carpeted Playing Surface for My mini Golf

It certainly is midsummer now, but rain and even hot weather can make it tough to keep Junior Golf Camps outside under these conditions. And, as we all know, it won’t be long until fall and then winter arrives and outside activities have to take shelter inside.

Many clubs have found that they would like to have their golf clinics inside and need a good putting surface to set up and easily move around to other areas as the club activities change from day to day. According to Hugh Penton, president of Starting Time, who is the exclusive distributor of My mini Golf for the U.S. and Canada, the fact is that this exceptional product can be just as much fun and useful as a learning aid inside, as well as outside.

Starting Time experimented with a number of artificial grass surfaces and sizes. They also worked with different edge moldings that would efficiently border the putting or chipping surfaces to keep the balls from rolling off where they could be lost or a hazard if stepped on.

These grass-like surfaces, with durable 2” boarders, are standard in a 12’ x 12’ size, but on special order can be furnished in other sizes.  They are made of durable carpeting that will last for years and is water and sun proof.  They are easily rolled up for portability or storage.  The edging can be quickly disassembled and is light weight and durable, added Penton.

Pricing for the 12’ x 12’ play area is also inexpensive.  This play surface will also soon be available in Canada.  It can also be used for summer camps, rental party events for kids, families or charity events.
