Bridgestone Becomes Official Licensee of NFL Logo Golf Balls

(COVINGTON, GA) – Bridgestone Golf, the No. 1 Ball Fitter in Golf, announced that it has entered into an agreement with the National Football League (NFL) to produce officially licensed NFL logo golf balls.

Under the agreement, Bridgestone Golf has been granted the right to manufacture and sell golf balls, golf ball packaging and golf bags bearing the 32 NFL teams’ official logos, the NFL league logo, the NFL Conferences’ logos (AFC and NFC) and the Super Bowl logo.

The new licensing deal takes effect immediately, as teams and fans begin preparing for the start of the 2012 season.  Financial terms and length of the agreement are undisclosed at this time.

“We are extremely excited about the possibilities that our newly formed licensing partnership with the NFL affords,” said Dan Murphy, Vice President of Marketing – Bridgestone Golf, Inc.  “Perhaps golfers’ passion for the game is only matched by the passion of fans of America’s most popular sport. So, we look forward to giving our customers the chance to combine these twopassions by showcasing their favorite NFL team’s logo on golf balls properly fit for their swing.”

  1. I suspect I will be staggered by the terms of the deal when I see them, but then I am never surprised but always amazed. I am not a big fan of logo golf balls but am a big fan of Bridgestone Golf balls. I like the B330 line of balls and a little over two years ago I discovered the e5 ball, the only two-piece ball with a urethane cover. Great distance with lots of spin for about $26.00 a dozen (I have found some good discounts too). So while I may not buy logo balls, I will continue to buy Bridgestone balls.
