Harbor Shores Celebrates Clubhouse Campus Grand Opening

Campus includes restaurant, golf shop, golf training centers, cart barn

(BENTON HARBOR, Mich.) - Harbor Shores, Lake Michigan's first residential, golf, recreational and waterfront community located in Benton Harbor, today announced the grand opening of its 17,000 square-foot clubhouse campus including a First Tee of Benton Harbor building and Harbor Shores Learning Center. Harbor Shores introduced the clubhouse campus just weeks in advance of the 73rd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid, to be held at Harbor Shores from May 22-27, 2012.

The 8,500 square-foot clubhouse, managed by KemperSports, is a significant landmark on the 530-acre property. Located adjacent to the first tee at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the clubhouse features The Grille at Harbor Shores full-service restaurant, golf shop, a dining and meeting room, men's and women's locker rooms and an outdoor patio overlooking the golf course.

"We are thrilled to introduce the new clubhouse as the centerpiece of the Harbor Shores golf course," said Aaron Williams, general manager of the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at Harbor Shores. "We look forward to welcoming golfers and the community to experience the clubhouse, restaurant and other amenities."

The Grille at Harbor Shores, which officially opens to the public on April 14, will feature an assortment of fine dining choices - ranging from local produce to fresh fish to gourmet steaks. In addition to the food menu, the restaurant will have a full bar featuring a vast array of wineries from Napa to New Zealand.

The clubhouse's additional amenities include the KitchenAid Outdoor Kitchen, featuring a grill, full bar and casual dining space. The clubhouse also has an intimate banquet facility, The Shores Club, with a balcony overlooking the golf course that may be reserved for special functions.

The clubhouse campus is a major addition to the overall Harbor Shores development, where long range plans include nearly 600 residences. In 2012, Harbor Shores will also break ground on the new Trailsides neighborhood and residential clubhouse, finalize 12 miles of walking trails and host the 73rd Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid.
