OB Sports Selected to Manage Painted Desert Golf Club and Las Vegas Golf Club

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Scottsdale-based OB Sports Golf Management expanded their Las Vegas influence with the recent announcement that they were selected to manage Painted Desert Golf Club and Las Vegas Golf Club in Nevada. OB Sports is now managing all aspects of each facility including golf operations, agronomy, food and beverage, instruction, membership sales and marketing.

OB Sports has been operating courses in Las Vegas since 1990 and today also operates other popular Las Vegas-area courses including The Legacy Golf Club, Angel Park Golf Club, Stallion Mountain Golf Club and Aliante Golf Club. Both Painted Desert Golf Club and Las Vegas Golf Club will be incorporated into OB Sports’ Las Vegas marketing efforts including OB Sports’ Las Vegas stay and play packages, popular double and triple play offerings, and inclusion in the OB Sports Golf Card – Las Vegas. In addition, OB Sports plans to leverage synergies as it relates to operational efficiencies, agronomic practices and event and service offerings.

“We are extremely excited to add to our Las Vegas presence with the addition of Painted Desert Golf Club and Las Vegas Golf Club. We have plugged these facilities into our proven and successful marketing campaigns, and from an operational standpoint, are enhancing the services and experiences offered at each of these popular courses,” stated Phil Green, chief operating officer of OB Sports Golf Management. “The addition of these clubs provides a very meaningful collection of Las Vegas courses that will appeal to group planners, resort vacationing golfers and more. Our co-operative efforts will be aimed at building Las Vegas as an exciting golf destination and bringing more golf travelers to Las Vegas…and of course to each of these facilities.”

About Painted Desert Golf Club
Painted Desert Golf Club ushered in the era of desert golf in Las Vegas. This exciting 6,781 yard layout was regarded as the original desert-style layout in Las Vegas when it opened in 1987. Designed by highly acclaimed golf course architect Jay Morrish, Painted Desert Golf Club is filled with golf variety and strategy. Premiums are placed on accuracy and shot making. While the meandering fairways are often guarded on each side by desert-style landscaping, the desert is groomed and offers golfers the option for an easy escape. Painted Desert Golf Club is a former host venue for the Nevada Open and welcomes groups, tournaments and outings of all sizes.
