Axis1 Golf to Introduce Umbra Belly at PGA Merchandise Show

(West Roxbury, MA) - Axis1 Golf, maker of the world's first perfectly balanced torque free putter, announces the launch of the latest version of the Axis1 Umbra - the Umbra Belly. The Umbra has gotten the attention of both PGA Professionals and retailers worldwide, as well as being named the 2008 PGA Merchandise Show Most Innovative Club. The Axis1 Umbra Belly will be debuted for the first time at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., at Booth #1011.

"Axis1 Umbra has been a very successful product for us. From this success we have found that there was a high demand for the belly length version," states Phil Long, Axis1 Golf Vice President. "Axis1 Umbra Belly will be the world's first perfectly balanced Belly Putter. It is developed with the same attributes of the original Umbra putter which have proven to eliminate the torque that exists from other putters causing the head face to open during the swing."

The Axis1 Umbra Belly is designed with a modern mallet head and offers a higher MOI for enhanced stability along with an L-Frame Alignment feature allowing better visual frames when addressing the ball. The Belly is available in 43" and 45" lengths.

"We have done testing with our PGA Tour staffers and a group of our PGA Professional advisory staff last fall and the feedback was extremely positive" Long stated. "The feedback was so good that shortly after the show the Axis1 Umbra Belly will make it's debut on the professional tours which is a great endorsement for this new putter."

Axis1 will be participating at the Outdoor Demo Day Jan. 25 at Orange County National Golf Center & Lodge in Orlando, Florida. Luis Pedraza, founder and designer of the Axis1 brand, will be available on the putting green to showcase the new Axis1 Umbra Belly as well as the award-winning Eagle and Umbra putters to influential PGA Professionals and VIP retailers.
