Half Moon Bay Golf Links Launches 2011 ‘Academy of Golf’


Bay Area’s Only Thirty-Six Hole, Oceanfront Golf Resort Offers Individual, Group Instruction

(HALF MOON BAY, Calif.) – Half Moon Bay Golf Links today launches the 2011 “Academy of Golf,” including one-day short game programs starting at $399 and two-day playing schools for $700.

To provide higher quality instruction in the Bay Area at a tremendous value, Half Moon Bay Golf Links has developed a learning facility with multiple teaching stations to accommodate groups of up to 20 golfers of all abilities.

Beginning June 4, one-day short game schools will be offered on the weekends through late August with six dates to choose from. Two-day playing schools begin July 2nd and will be held every other week through late October for a total of nine different sessions. Short-game, bunker-play, full-swing and on-course playing lessons are included in the multi-day curriculum.

The Half Moon Bay Golf Links Academy of Golf is directed by Mitchell Lowe, former Canadian PGA TOUR player and three-time Northern California PGA Player of the Year. Lowe serves as Director of Instruction and has a 16-year track record as an award-winning golf instructor and private coach for PGA TOUR, Nationwide TOUR, and Canadian PGA TOUR golfers. He is firmly entrenched in the Northern California golf industry, having worked at TPC Harding Park Golf Course in San Francisco, Del Rio Country Club in Modesto and Lockeford Springs Golf Course in Lodi.

In addition to short game and two-day playing schools, Half Moon Bay Golf Links will also host corporate clinics, two junior multiple-day golf camps and private lessons.
