HawaiiGolf.com showcasing the Royal Course at Maui's Ka'anapali Golf Resort

Ka'anapali Golf Resort's Royal Course - a Robert Trent Jones Sr. design that has played host to such events as the Champions TOUR Ka'anapali Classic for 14 years, LPGA Kemper Cup, and Shell's Wonderful World of Golf - is this week's featured course at HawaiiGolf.com, the leading site for anyone planning to play golf in Hawaii.

Ka'anapali Resort is built upon 1,200 acres of land home to ancient Hawaiian royalty and is home to two 18-hole championship golf courses. The Royal Ka'anapali course was built in 1962 and features undulating greens and wide fairways to accent views of the Pacific Ocean and West Maui Mountains.

Legends such as Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Jan Stephanson and Betsy King have walked these fairways.

Guests of the Ka'anapali Resort receive discounts on green fees at both Royal Ka'anapali and newer Ka'anapali Kai, which was extensively renovated in 2005.

In a recent review of Ka'anapali Golf Resort's Royal Course, Bill Bowman wrote:
"From the start, the staff at Ka'anapali Golf Resort goes out of their way to ensure every player is all set. Tees? Yep. Towels? Wet and dry ones at your fingertips. GPS? All loaded up to give you perfect yardages. Plus the system also gives you some historical background of the area. Nice little tidbits to take back home.

Take a second when you get to the par-3 17th to admire the view of this short - but deadly - hole. Many players, including PGA Tour great Lee Trevino, have won and lost tournaments on this 155-yard hole. And that's from the tips.

It's not the length that gets to players, it's the water front and left and the imposing bunkers."
