How Do You Drink Your Wolves Whiskey?

Wolves, the luxury whiskey brand founded by FootJoy collaborator Jon Buscemi (Buscemi, Truff), and fellow culture setter James Bond (Undefeated), announces that a limited allocation of Lot Two, the second American Single Malt release under the brand’s Malted Barley Series banner, will drop at wolveswhiskeyca.com, Thursday, August 31.

An additional 335 6-packs of the Lot Two American Single Malt whiskey will be made available through select brick-and-mortar and e-commerce retailers. Not available in all 50 states.

Lot Two ($305/750ml), an 11-year-old American Single Malt was distilled and barreled in 2012 by 13th generation distiller Marko Karakasevic using imported Irish malts with a California Ale and bottled at a robust, though deceptively approachable 110-proof (55% ABV).

Lot Two is wrapped by hand in a supple, bespoke Italian sheepskin label dyed a rich, matte black, a finish that is incredibly hard to achieve due to the texture of the hide. The skins are painstakingly individually die-cut into label form, before being printed with UV light, hand-numbered, embossed, and laid one-by-one on the custom-made French-cut glass that required four months just to achieve the perfect color.

Collegiate golfer invents new swing aid product during the pandemic that produces consistent ball striking

(Los Angeles, CA) – For most aspiring collegiate golfers, the pandemic brought on many challenges including isolation, excess of free time, and many questions as to what might happen with their college golf opportunities. In the case of 19-year-old Dylan Horowitz, now captain of the Chapman University men’s golf team in Southern California, he spent his time in isolation working on his golf swing and fixing one of his major swing flaws and, in the process, invented a new swing training aid – Kavooa Pro.

Kavooa Pro, the first swing training aid from Kavooa Golf, will help golfers quickly improve and develop consistent contact with the ball. Kavooa Pro is a tripod-based product that can be adjusted via a patented telescoping device with rods (golf alignment sticks) to stabilize a golfer’s head and hips during the swing. That, in turn, helps solidify pure contact for consistent ball striking.

“My biggest swing fault was caused by growing up playing hockey and hitting a lot of slapshots. I struggled with dipping my head down in my swing and having to compensate with my arms,” explains Horowitz. “Kavooa Pro was originally created specifically to stabilize head movement so I could practice by myself instead of needing someone to hold up sticks during drills. We discovered the product does that for you and also gives instant feedback on a variety of other golf skills.”

Horowitz took inspiration from his longtime instructor, PGA teaching pro Dr. Rick Sessinghaus in developing the feedback-based device. “We used video back in 2020 to show me how my head was moving forward during the swing and Rick mentioned there was no training aid to fix that movement – aside from either having someone hold up a stick to your head while swinging and staying behind it, or placing a beanbag on top of your head. So, we began working on what’s now Kavooa Pro.”

It was during Covid of 2020 when Horowitz, who was isolated at home, had time to figure out a way to work on his game and stay positive.

“I came up with the original model by taping a pool noodle to the top of a punching bag that was around my height. I made the necessary adjustments and would use it while hitting into my backyard net. When the courses opened back up in June of 2020, I then used a tripod, duct tape, a shoelace, and adjustable Star Wars light sabers that I drilled holes through using a burnt screwdriver in my freshman dorm room. After that version we switched to PVC pipe to begin creating the first prototypes.”

Over the next couple of years, Horowitz, with the assistance of his father, Andy Horowitz, who brought significant experience as an entrepreneur building companies and selling them to Fortune 500 corporations, worked on the business side and the design aspect of the product to bring it to life.

“It works through simple cause and effect – providing instant feedback,” says Horowitz. “And its height can also be quickly and easily adjusted to anywhere between 15 and 65 inches off the ground. No matter your height, it will help stabilize your head. But you can also move it down to prevent your hips from swaying – preventing you from further distance loss. Or you can place it behind you, where it can help prevent you from coming over the top on your downswing because you’ll hit the unit before you hit the ball. So it helps get your swing on the proper plane.”

Kavooa Pro helps golfers improve the following elements of their golf games:

Helps Quiet Excessive Head Movement

https://www.kavooagolf.com/drill/head-movement

Eliminates an Over-the-Top Downswing

https://www.kavooagolf.com/drill/over-the-top-too-shallow

Reduces Unwanted Hip Sliding

https://www.kavooagolf.com/drill/hip-sliding

Improves a Too-Shallow Downswing

Promotes Proper Turn and Rotation

Helps Groove the Correct Top-of-the-Swing Position

Helps Dial in Proper Low-Point Contact

Improves Swing Path and Plane for Chipping

Helps Improve Putting Aim and Path

The unit also includes a phone clip holder, allowing you to easily take videos of your swing. Kavooa Pro can also be used for chipping and putting. When chipping, you can angle it to the exact degree angle you need for your swing plane.

Many professional golf instructors have been trying out Kavooa Pro, with overwhelming positive feedback. Members of the North American One-Armed Golfers Association are also working with Kavooa Pro, as it's a product that can be used by anyone. Plus, it will be presented at the PGA Coaches Summit next month, and the PGA Merchandise Show.

“A tool as versatile as Kavooa Pro helps instructors look at a golfer’s swing plane and head motion. We can also do other unique things to help them feel and see the instant feedback. That is quite valuable and the variety of uses for Kavooa Pro is crucial, as is the ease of being able to transition from one drill to another while teaching,” Sessinghaus says.

Kavooa Pro, which sells for $129.99, weighs just 3.5 pounds and can easily collapse to be stowed in the side pocket of most golf bags. It can be used on the course, at the range, or in a backyard – anywhere you can swing a club.

Golfers From 50 States, 17 Countries Prepare to Descend on Myrtle Beach for 40th Annual World Amateur Handicap Championship

(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.)
– Golf’s premier, recreational amateur tournament is preparing to celebrate a milestone anniversary, and 3,260 players from all 50 states and 17 countries are descending on Myrtle Beach for an event that is equal parts competition and camaraderie.

The 40th annual PlayGolfMyrtleBeach.com World Amateur Handicap Championship, a 72-hole, net stroke play event, will be played August 28 through September 1 along Myrtle Beach’s Grand Strand.

The inaugural World Am was played in hopes of filling what had been a slow week in Myrtle Beach’s tourism calendar in 1984, and from those humble origins, the tournament has grown into an international event. From hurricanes and power outages to giving away golf course condos and Paula Morton holing out from 70 yards to claim the mantle of World Champion, the World Am has seen a little bit of everything over the years.

“The PlayGolfMyrtleBeach.com World Amateur Handicap is a one-of-a-kind event and we are looking forward to celebrating Year 40,” tournament director Scott Tomasello said. “This event is always a celebration of the game and the people who love it, and that will certainly be the case this year. More than 3,200 golfers from across the globe are coming to Myrtle Beach, and we look forward to providing an unforgettable experience on and off the course.”

The World Am, which has been called the “Every Man’s Major,” allows regular golfers, who are flighted by age, gender and handicap, the rare opportunity to compete over 72 holes with flight winners advancing to the World Championship Playoff at the Grande Dunes Resort Course.

Highlighting the World Am’s broad appeal, there are players as old as 90 and as young as 16 registered for the 2023 tournament, while Portugal and Canada lead the nations sending international participants. The average handicap for tournament players is 11.8 and 50 of Myrtle Beach’s best courses will host the tournament.

The World Am flights players into 11 divisions – men 49 and under, senior men (50-59), mid-senior men (60-69), super senior men (70-79), seasoned seniors (80+), women (59 and under), senior women (60+), the gross division, senior (50+) gross division, mid-senior (60+) gross division and women’s gross division. There is also a “Just For Fun” flight, created for players who want to enjoy the World Am experience without the pressure of competition.

After four days of tournament play, all flight winners will compete for the right to be crowned “World Champion” at the Grande Dunes Resort Course on Friday, September 1.

While the competition is initially what lures players to the tournament, it’s only part of what keeps them coming back. At the heart of the World Am’s appeal is the camaraderie among its participants, and much of that kinship is fostered at the World’s Largest 19th Hole.

Each night of the event, the 19th Hole takes over all 120,000-square feet of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, providing participants with free food and drinks, live entertainment, celebrity guest appearances, a golf expo and more. Among the big names that have appeared at the 19th Hole in recent years are David Feherty, Brandel Chamblee, Charlie Rymer and John Daly.

Players also receive a gift bag that includes a polo, pullover, golf towel, logo’d hat, PGA Tour Superstore gift card and an assortment of other goodies valued cumulatively at $250.

SuperSpeed Golf training key in 16-year-old Luna Lu Qualifying for LPGA’s 2023 CPKC Canadian Women's Open

(VANCOUVER, British Columbia)
— At just 16 years old, Luna Lu has Monday-qualified to compete in the LPGA’s CPKC Canadian Women's Open held at the historic Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club from August 24-27. Luna secured her place in the championship after a notable performance in the final qualifier at Point Grey Golf and Country Club.

Luna's achievements on the golf course have drawn significant attention as she is just entering  the 11th grade at Burnaby North Secondary School next month. Luna shot an impressive one-under 71 (-1) during the qualifiers and clinched one of the four final spots for the Open, tying for 3rd in the qualifier. Luna will now compete against 156 players, including LPGA Tour pros like Brooke Henderson, Maddie Szeryk, and Alena Sharp.

SuperSpeed Golf’s swing tools and system have been instrumental in helping her gain speed and distance on the course. Combined with a robust physical training program from trainer Jason Glass, the SuperSpeed Team helped Luna gain significant speed and distance. By utilizing 3D Force Plates to identify opportunities for more speed in how she pushes with her lead leg and targeted drills, Luna was able to increase her lead leg vertical force by 30% and the timing of this force earlier in her downswing along with increasing her rotational torque by 20%. This led to an increase of her driver club-head speed from 92.7 mph to 98 mph, approximately 4 mph faster than the average LPGA player at just 15 years old.

Analysis video https://youtu.be/-GjL3ktdpsc

"Luna's talent and dedication to the game are truly admirable," said Mike Napoleon, President of SuperSpeed Golf. "We are thrilled to see her qualify for her national tournament and can’t wait to not only watch her this week, but as she continues to improve and work on all facets of her game, especially the speed and distance strides she is making with us at SuperSpeed Golf."

The CPKC Canadian Women's Open returns to British Columbia for the first time since 2015, with a purse of $2.35 million. The event offers participants an incredible opportunity, not only because of its rich history and a stellar lineup but also as the last chance for players to qualify for the United States Solheim Cup team.

The SuperSpeed Training System is the trusted choice of over 700 professional golfers worldwide and is available in more than 40 countries. In addition to Luna, the SuperSpeed Golf ambassador family has enjoyed incredible success recently with Padraig Harrington’s play on both the PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions, Cheyenne Knight recently winning on the LPGA Tour, Ohio State’s Max Moldovan making the cut at the U.S. Open, and Korn Ferry Tour player Cody Blick currently inside the top 30 in the standings looking to earn his PGA TOUR card.

SuperSpeed Golf’s Training System, with its three specially weighted training clubs and over a year’s worth of free online training, has been instrumental in helping countless golfers improve their swing speed and overall performance. Leveraging the concept of Overspeed Training, the system boasts an impressive track record, with golfers typically seeing a 5% swing speed increase within approximately six weeks of regular practice.

Titleist Radar Capture Technology (RCT) Makes TOUR Debut at East Lake

“On the Range at the TOUR Championship” on ESPN+ (2 p.m. ET) to feature prototype Pro V1 and Pro V1x RCT golf balls designed for TrackMan Range

(FAIRHAVEN, Mass.) – Titleist’s groundbreaking Radar Capture Technology (RCT) will be on full display today on the range at East Lake Golf Club, as many of the world’s best dial in their swings for the TOUR Championship.

Developed by Titleist Golf Ball R&D engineers, RCT is an embedded radar reflective technology – currently available on Pro V1, Pro V1x, Pro V1x Left Dash and AVX golf balls – that enhances the data capture of launch conditions in an indoor environment, delivering the most accurate information possible.

“On the Range at the TOUR Championship” (airing live on ESPN+, Aug. 23 at 2pm ET) will utilize Radar Capture Technology – with players hitting prototype Pro V1 and Pro V1x RCT models designed specifically for TrackMan Range – to provide viewers with precision flight and spin data in real time.

The enhanced data capture from Titleist RCT, in combination with TrackMan’s ball tracing technology, will allow the broadcast to present a complete and accurate analysis of any shot hit with a Pro V1 or Pro V1x on the East Lake driving range with far more detail than ever before.

“Spin is the magical number for truly understanding the flight and movement of the golf ball,” said Fredrik Tuxen, TrackMan’s Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer. “Speed and power is getting a lot of attention, but managing and controlling spin rates is what really sets players apart. It is the key number for players to control their carry distance, curvature and how the ball reacts when landing. Titleist is an innovative leader and shares our passion for providing golfers with the most precise data possible. They’ve helped take our Trackman Range Product to the next level with the prototype radar capture technology.”

“Everything we do at Titleist is about precision and developing innovations that help golfers play better, more consistent golf,” said Matt Hogge, Titleist Golf Ball R&D’s Director of Product Development. “Data is a critical part of this process and partnering with TrackMan has pushed both our teams to unlock technologies that measure spin as precisely as ever, wherever golfers want to practice or play.”

“Whether it is the pursuit of better technique or better equipment, spin is the performance output that must be accurately measured to then evaluate attributes like peak height, angle of descent, carry and total distance,” Hogge said. “The prototype RCT technology we’ve developed for Trackman Range elevates the ability to capture this spin data and provide the most accurate analysis of every shot hit by any player across the driving range.”

Among this week’s TOUR Championship participants teeing up a Titleist, the overwhelming #1 ball on the PGA TOUR: Scottie Scheffler (Pro V1), Patrick Cantlay (Pro V1x), Viktor Hovland (Pro V1), Max Homa (Pro V1), Matt Fitzpatrick (Pro V1x), Brian Harman (Pro V1), Wyndham Clark (Pro V1x), Jordan Spieth (Pro V1x), Tyrrell Hatton (Pro V1) and Tom Kim (Pro V1x).

TITLEIST RCT TECHNOLOGY

The Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls with prototype Radar Capture Technology (RCT) being used this week on the range at East Lake are designed on the same platform developed for the original Titleist RCT models currently available for use with indoor launch monitors.

RCT is an internal radar reflective marker that produces an optimized signal capture, delivering true spin measurements for every shot. Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls with RCT feature the same design, materials, quality manufacturing and performance as their non-RCT models, but with the enhanced benefit of radar signal capture.

New App Uses Computer Vision to ID Golf Balls

ScanMyGolfBall shares hidden details with golfers

(WESTMINSTER, MD) — SMGB Technologies, LLC has launched their flagship smartphone app called ScanMyGolfBall which uses artificial intelligence and computer vision to help golfers identify the best golf balls for their individual level of play.

“Playing with the wrong golf ball can cost you hundreds of yards per round,” says Tim Chase, CEO of SMGB Technologies and avid golfer. “But knowing all the details about every ball is impossible, so I just thought, what if I could scan a ball with my smartphone and have it tell me if it’s a good fit, or not?”

ScanMyGolfBall allows users to point their smartphone camera at the golf ball for details about greenstopping spin, drive distance, compression and construction, which is paired with a ball fitting tool that understands how each player’s level of game fits with the scanned ball for over 300 known golf balls in circulation in the new and secondary markets. The app will also make recommendations about which currently manufactured golf balls are a best fit for that golfer.

Chase is the founder and chairman of WMS Partners, a wealth management firm based in Towson, Maryland. He developed the golf ball database over the past several years and then partnered with technologist and fellow golfer Graham Dodge to create the patent-pending computer vision application.  Dodge is the top executive for two technology development nonprofits, founder of a robotics makerspace in Maryland, and a mentor-in-residence at Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures.

“The app’s AI architecture is designed to get smarter with use,” says Dodge. “Not only will it recognize more golf balls over time, but it will learn to detect damage on the surface of a ball to predict its playability on the course and its resale value for the secondary market.”

Titleist Introduces New Performance Alignment on Pro V1 and Pro V1x Golf Balls

(FAIRHAVEN, Mass.)
– Many of the world’s best players – including major champions Scottie Scheffler, Lydia Ko, Matt Fitzpatrick, Celine Boutier, Wyndham Clark and Allisen Corpuz – mark their Titleist golf ball with a long, straight line that helps them with alignment.

Titleist’s new Performance Alignment aid – now available on Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls, the overwhelming #1 ball on the PGA TOUR, LPGA and at every level of competitive golf – provides golfers with this tour-proven marking straight out of the sleeve.

Available in black, red, blue and green, the Performance Alignment aid is designed with a subtle arrow shape, 105 degrees in length, custom printed on each golf ball opposite the Pro V1 or Pro V1x sidestamp. The marking is 60 percent longer than a standard Titleist sidestamp.

“Performance Alignment emulates how many of the best players in the game mark their Titleist,” said Jeremy Stone, Vice President, Titleist Golf Ball Marketing. “The benefit of players marking their golf ball with an alignment aid – specifically a long, straight line – is evident across all levels of competitive golf and plays a significant role in helping them improve their aim and accuracy.”

Additionally, Titleist offers more than 40 different alignment aid designs through custom order on Titleist.com.

INSPIRED BY THE WORLD’S BEST

A long, straight line is one of the most common markings found on the Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls that are put in play across the worldwide professional tours, helping players take dead aim and hit their start-lines with confidence.

“I use a black line, because I cannot putt without this,” said Pro V1 player Viktor Hovland. “I literally cannot aim.”

“I’ve just never been good at just standing over the ball and being able to aim that way,” Hovland said. “I’ve found it’s really helped my putting, especially on the short ones, when there’s not too much break involved. I just did a blind test with a line on and then without a line, and I just aimed it miles better with a line on.”

• Leona Maguire (Pro V1): “I start off with a blue line. I like a line on my ball for putting, for lining up my putts. I’ve done it for a long time now so it’s an essential part of my routine.”

• Ally Ewing (Pro V1x): “I choose to putt with a black line. It helps me confirm my target and really put away the thought of where I’m rolling the ball.”

• Stewart Cink (Pro V1x): “To me, the alignment line, it just takes away that little bit of doubt that you might have when you put your putter down behind the ball and you aren’t 100% sure where you’re pointing it. We work really hard on where we’re starting the ball on our putts. And the alignment line helps make sure it takes that one piece of variability out.”

A sampling of tour players who mark their Titleist with a long, single line:

PGA Tour: Scottie Scheffler, Cameron Young, Will Zalatoris, Justin Thomas, Wyndham Clark, Matt Fitzpatrick, Billy Horschel, Sungjae Im, Viktor Hovland, Sahith Theegala, Joaquin Niemann, Mito Pereira, Harris English, Ryan Palmer, K.H. Lee, Stewart Cink and Scott Stallings.

LPGA: Lydia Ko, Celine Boutier, Allisen Corpuz, Patty Tavatanakit, Pajaree Ananarukarn, Pauline Roussin, Nanna Koerstz Madsen, Alexa Pano, Leona Maguire, Gaby Lopez, Ally Ewing, Matilda Castren, Jodi Ewart Shadoff, Danielle Kang and Emily Pedersen.

PRO V1 and PRO V1x PERFORMANCE & TECHNOLOGY: The 2023 Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls set the standard for tee-to-green performance and consistency through advanced core technologies validated by the best players in the world. Pro V1 and Pro V1x are engineered with high gradient core designs that deliver

lower long game spin for increased distance and a more consistent flight – helping golfers hit the ball longer and straighter while maintaining the Drop-and-Stop greenside control that Pro V1 and Pro V1x players rely on to play their best.

AVAILABILITY | Pro V1 and Pro V1x Performance Alignment golf balls are available to order through titleist.com and authorized Titleist retailers today in the United States and Canada only.

The Indoor Golf Shop Ranks No. 445 on 2023 Inc. 5000 List of “The Most Successful Companies in America”

Prestigious annual ranking salutes the nation’s fastest-growing private companies

CELINA, Texas — The Indoor Golf Shop, the largest distributor, manufacturer, and online retailer of residential and commercial indoor golf simulator equipment in North America, has been ranked No. 445 on the 2023 Inc. 5000 list — the most prestigious annual ranking of America's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a one-of-a-kind look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment — its independent businesses.

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized in the top 10 percent on the Inc. 5000 list and to make the list for the second consecutive year,” says Rene Delgado, Founder and CEO of The Indoor Golf Shop. “Our team’s expertise, hard work and thought leadership is second-to-none in the indoor golf space and we’re humbled and excited that we are continuing to grow, innovate and serve our customers in more personal, creative and innovative ways.”

Ranking #445 on the list, 46th in Texas, and #31 in the consumer product category is a recognition that pays tribute to the success, strategic decisions and growth that have made The Indoor Golf Shop an industry leader. “When we were named to the list for the first-time last year, it was very exciting and rewarding for our entire company,” stated Delgado. “To be named for the second year in a row is validation of our vision and commitment to serve our customers to the highest degree possible. We are very proud of this achievement.”

Companies on the 2023 Inc. 5000 are ranked according to percentage revenue growth from 2019 to 2022. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2019. The Indoor Golf Shop experienced 1,306% growth during that three-year period, while expanding its business into new categories – including custom design and installation.

“Running a business has only gotten harder since the end of the pandemic,” says Inc. Editor-in-Chief Scott Omelianuk. “To make the Inc. 5000—with the fast growth that requires—is truly an accomplishment. Inc is thrilled to honor the companies that are building our future.”

With the demand of off-course golf participation that has officially surpassed on-course (according to recent National Golf Foundation data), The Indoor Golf Shop acquired InHome Golf in early 2023. The combined companies are now exceptionally positioned to lead the industry in the fast-growing demand of commercial and residential golf simulator installations. The Indoor Golf Shop and InHome Golf now collaborate on customer acquisition, product development, golf simulator room designs and construction services, and share manufacturing resources to serve the golf industry and marketplace with maximum efficiency.

The Indoor Golf Shop elevates all phases of the indoor golf buying experience through a full slate of turnkey solutions, including step-by-step guidance to purchasing and installing top simulator brands, DIY consumer packages, best-in-class screens, enclosures, hitting mats, launch monitors and accessories for homes, retailers, teaching and fitting facilities, along with entertainment companies.

LA GOLF, Sportsbox AI Partner to Launch Motion-Based Experience

(BEVERLY HILLS, CA)
– LA GOLF partners with Sportsbox AI to launch the ‘LA GOLF Fit Yourself Experience’. This is a first-of-its-kind fitting experience inside the Sportsbox 3DGolf app that allows golfers to effortlessly record their own swing and matches them to the perfect shaft for their game.

The collaboration between LA GOLF and Sportsbox AI has culminated in the development of an extraordinary experience that introduces an unprecedented AI fitting based on state-of-the-art motion science, revolutionizing the way golfers select the best equipment for their game.

“You can now fit yourself more accurately than a launch monitor or simulator with just your phone and three swings, and that is a big freaking deal for golfers,” says Reed Dickens, Founder and CEO of LA GOLF. “Jeehae Lee is a brilliant entrepreneur, and I could not be more excited to partner with Sportsbox AI to bring golfers the future of club fitting.”

Sportsbox AI and LA GOLF have tested the AI logic on a wide array of golfers – male and female across different ages, swing speeds, and handicaps – and on average, golfers who switched to the LA GOLF driver shaft that was recommended to them through the app gained an average of 9 yards and tightened their dispersion by 15 yards.

“Golfers have had two options for finding clubs to play: ask a friend or their local pro or go through an often expensive fitting experience that is based on a ‘guess and check’ process, which is entirely dependent on the fitting professional to make the right recommendation,” says Jeehae Lee, Co-founder and CEO at Sportsbox AI. “We have - through this partnership with LA GOLF and Sportsbox’s unique AI technology - uncovered clear Motion-based Fitting Logic that is much more reliable than eyeballed assessments. We’re excited to bring this service to golfers everywhere through their mobile phone - for FREE.”

SkyCaddie GPS technology wins again at Legends Tour JCB Championship

(RIDGELAND, MS)
— SkyCaddie GPS technology has scored a third win in quick succession on the 2023 Legends Tour, after ex-Ryder Cup star and SkyCaddie user, Peter Baker won the recent JCB Championship.

The victory, which propels the 55-year-old Englishman to second place behind Alex Cejka on the MCB Road To Mauritius, is Baker’s second on the Legends Tour this season following his Irish Legends win at Seapoint in late June.

In all, 21 of the top 30 finishers at The JCB Championship used SkyCaddie GPS during the rain-shortened tournament.

SkyCaddie GPS became the Official Distance Measuring Device of the Legends Tour in June 2023. Players who use SkyCaddies during tournaments can download each day’s pin locations, with Legends Tour officials using SkyCaddie’s ground-mapped yardages to set pin positions.

SkyCaddie, the only company that professionally surveys each hole of every course on foot, also provides printed Pin Sheets to players for events on the Legends Tour, formerly known as the Staysure Tour and European Senior Tour.

The Legends Tour is one of the world’s most prestigious tours to allow players to use Distance Measuring Devices (DMDs) during competitive play. In 2022 SkyCaddie GPS users made up over two-thirds of the field across the season – claiming eight victories and 14 runner-up spots.

Australian golfer, Richard Green also used SkyCaddie on his way to victory in the Jersey Legends tournament at La Moye in June. Green currently lies 5th on the MCB Road To Mauritius.

EDISON 2.0 Wedges Lead the Wedge Category with Redistribution of 42% More Mass Where It Counts

(ROCKPORT, TX)
— Edison Golf, a company dedicated to revolutionizing wedge performance for recreational golfers, announces that the new EDISON 2.0 wedge design positions up to 42% more mass directly behind or even above center-face and high-face impact points than any other wedges on the market, leading the wedge category with the redistribution of mass in the club head.

“I’ve been pursuing dramatic changes in wedge design for over thirty years,” said Terry Koehler, Chairman and Director of Innovation at Edison Golf. “It’s obvious all major wedge brands have started putting just a little bit more mass in the top portion of the clubhead, however, none are anywhere close to the EDISON 2.0. In fact, none of today’s wedges have even caught up to where my Reid Lockhart® wedges were in the 1990s. A caliper measurement comparison of the face thickness of any major brand wedge to my historic wedge designs proves that I have led this design concept for decades. The EDISON 2.0 wedges are generations ahead of everyone else.”

The EDISON 2.0 wedges represent a quantum leap in wedge design, as they are the only wedges on the market specifically designed around a multi-year study of the way recreational golfers hit their wedges, as opposed to being designed for the extraordinary skills of elite tour players. They have the most efficient distribution of clubhead mass in the category to deliver better distance consistency, more forgiveness and improved spin.

Koehler shares that his extensive study of the impact pattern on thousands of recreational golfers’ wedges reveals that even the most skilled golfers routinely make contact higher in the face and over a larger area than do the elite tour professionals. He explains this is why rank-and-file amateurs cannot get consistent performance from their wedges, and why you even see tour professionals frequently come up way short with their wedge shots.

Introduced in 2020, the original Edison Forged wedges significantly improved wedge performance by dramatically changing the way mass was distributed across the back of the clubhead. In the EDISON 2.0 line of wedges, an additional 14-17 grams have been positioned even higher in the clubhead, achieved by creation of a multi-level back design that optimizes smash factor across the face. This repositioning also creates a fresh and distinctive visual appeal to the product.

In addition to enhanced weighting technologies, the EDISON 2.0 wedges feature an improved version of the renowned and proven “Koehler Sole”. Patented by Koehler over 30 years ago, this unique sole design combines both a high and low bounce into each wedge and has been proven by thousands of golfers to deliver an unmatched level of sole versatility to handle different lies and different swing paths.

The technologies found only in the EDISON 2.0 wedges further separate and distance Koehler’s work from all other wedge brands.

All EDISON 2.0 wedges are backed by the Company’s 30-Day Risk Free Trial. The Edison craftsmen will build you any EDISON 2.0 wedge and let you put it to the test on your course, hitting the variety of shots you face every round. If for any reason it's not the best wedge you've ever played, Edison Golf will buy it back.

EDISON 2.0 wedges are engineered to odd-number lofts from 45 to 59 degrees and are custom built for each golfer from a wide selection of premium KBS® shafts and Lamkin® grips. Requests for even number lofts are met by tweaking the lower number clubhead. Standard pricing is $199.95 for steel shaft wedges and $214.95 for graphite shafts. Shipping is always free, and discounts are applied on orders for full sets of three or more. The shopping experience is clean and easy on the company’s website at www.EdisonWedges.com.

LA GOLF Launches Signature Pink Series with Paige Spiranac

(BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.)
— LA GOLF has launched their next generation carbon putters, the "Bel-Air" and "Malibu" series in a limited-edition pink colorway. Each putter features their patented descending loft face technology, the largest sweet spot on the market at just under 7,000 MOI, and their P-series anti-vibration shaft – now offered in Paige Spiranac's signature pink.

By using an all-carbon construction, a material 5x less dense than solid steel, this allows for a much larger area of forgiveness for off-center hits, mixed with their patented Descending Loft Face technology which features four descending degrees of loft that solve for consistency with launch angles and yields more predictable rolls.

"I've been playing the best golf of my life since switching to the LA GOLF shafts. I am a strong believer that when you look good, you feel good, and you play good. If you want to stand out (and play better) while matching your vibe, you can do that with the Pink Signature Series," said Paige Spiranac, LA GOLF partner.

LA GOLF's blade (Bel-Air) and mallet (Malibu) are offered in a matte carbon with pink tungsten screws, a pink descending loft face, and Paige Spiranac's pink signature series shaft, online only at $999.

LA GOLF's Bel-Air and Malibu Pink series are both available now through August 25th at LAGOLF.com.
