Satisfied Power Tee Customers Across the Country Add More Units

Innovative range technology drives serious revenue for golf course and driving range owners

(PONTE VEDRA BEACH, FL) – Power Tee, innovator in technology that drives game improvement, golfer engagement and practice facility revenues, is pleased to report a robust first quarter of 2023 marked by new orders, installations and numerous clients expanding the number of Power Tee bays on their practice facilities.

As golf participation continues to grow and off-course golf activity reaches an all-time high, Power Tee's business has escalated. In the past two years, multiple customers have doubled and tripled their initial Power Tee orders due to increases in customer demand and revenue related to their innovative automatic tee systems. For example, The Golf Zone Family Fun Center (a Golf Range Association of America Top 50 Driving Range) in Honeybrook, Pa. recently became a Power Tee convert. Owner Steve DiMarco and his team signed on for 12 Power Tee units at the 2023 PGA Merchandise Show in January. Just 30 days after installation, The Golf Zone ordered 14 more machines bringing their total to 26.

“We are thrilled to have Power Tee installed at The Golf Zone. We were looking for ways to enhance the guest experience when hitting balls. Power Tee is the answer. So far, they have been a resounding success, so we added more,” says DiMarco.

Power Tee inventor and CEO Martin Wyeth sees definite growth trends with the company. “What Power Tee customers are discovering is that not only do Power Tee bays make a driving range space look more aesthetically pleasing and allow golfers to hit more shots more easily, but the phenomenon of customers also hitting more balls, staying longer, spending more in the pro shop and snack shop, and bringing more people with them to try Power Tee yields significant recurring revenue. When we see so many owners and operators calling to expand their Power Tee orders and telling us they wish they had added Power Tee sooner, we know we’re helping to change the landscape of what more practice facilities will look like in the not-too-distant future.”

Endorsed by 2003 U.S. Open champion and 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Jim Furyk as well as legendary golf instructor Rick Smith, Power Tee’s patented auto-tee technology has been perfected through years of engineering. Power Tee’s technology yields unexpected benefits for golfers as well as the owners and operators who are installing the practice stations on their ranges in lieu of traditional – and higher-maintenance – grass tee stations. Every shot hit from a Power Tee Bay is from a perfect lie because it’s automatically teed at the height chosen and set (from 40 different options). Golf lessons resonate more easily, too.

A long list of Power Tee customers recently increased the number of Power Tee bays on their tee line. Mulligans Golf Center in Harrisonburg, Va. initially started with six Power Tee stations and, within a year, added 14 more. “In a few short weeks, it became very apparent that our golfers loved using Power Tee. They were always the first bays people went to,” says Mulligans owner Nancy White. “The feedback was wonderful, and I knew we’d made the right decision. So, I added more.”

Royal Oak Golf Center in great Detroit, Michigan, perennially one of The Golf Range Association of America’s Top 50 Driving Ranges, recently renewed its Power Tee contract for another five years, while increasing its tee line to 45 Power Tee units. “Power Tee has helped speed up the driving range process immensely,” says Royal Oak’s General Manager Glenn Pulice. “Since we boosted our Power Tee total, we saw 68,000 balls hit in one day. That shattered our previous record.”

Already this year, The Kwini Club in Shelburne, Vt. upgraded its number of Power Tee units for a third time and Game On Golf Center in White Plains, New York became the largest U.S Power Tee site with 58 total Power Tee bays.

“Power Tee has definitely increased our revenue in ball sales. We saw at least a 30 percent increase off the bat and then we increased another 30 percent the following year, and then another 15 percent last year,” adds Nick Franze, owner of the Tee It Up practice facility in Oviedo, FL. “We've seen increases every year. Power Tee has helped out with the speed of everything.”

Renowned golf instructor Rick Smith became a Power Tee ambassador in early 2023 and considers the product highly beneficial in golf instruction, grooving good habits in a range session, and building repeatable consistency in the golf swing.

“Our instructors (at the Rick Smith Golf Performance Center at Trump National Doral Resort) and I have utilized the technology with some of the best golfers in the world and it has been very well received and invaluable in teaching. I highly recommend Power Tee to any leading club or resort in the world. It enhances the appearance of the facility, is very popular with golfers, and, most importantly, helps golfers improve consistency and repetition of the proper technique,” Smith says.

In the past two years, 18 different sites have upgraded their Power Tee installations and added more units.
