Exceptional June Package Includes First-Class Accommodations, Golf Instruction and Daily Rounds
(LA ROMANA, Dominican Republic) – Casa de Campo Resort & Villas – home to the Caribbean’s premier, luxury golf experiences, including its iconic “World Top 100” Teeth of the Dog – announces an exceptional offer in honor of “Women’s Golf Month” in June.
The all-inclusive four-day / three-night stay-and-play starts at $1,649 per person (per room / per night) and is valid through Oct. 31, 2022, if booked by June 30. The many highlights include first-class accommodations, unlimited greens fees on the resort’s classic Pete Dye-designed layouts including the legendary Teeth of the Dog and all meals and drinks covered at each onsite gourmet restaurant including one dinner at the Minitas Beach Club.
The offer also includes one 50-minute massage at the spa and a personal one-hour of instruction from the first-rate team of golf professionals at the resort’s state-of-the-art, PGA Tour-quality Golf Learning Center.
Highlighted by Trackman and BODITRAK technology, the Golf Learning Center features two indoor hitting bays for rapid game improvement, year-round training, individual and group golf lessons and schools, and expert club-fitting and repair. Residing on 21 acres of “pure grass,” the facility also showcases practice greens for honing putting, chipping and pitching skills as well as unlimited use of the pristine outdoor range for full shots. On-course instruction is also available.
“Casa de Campo is thrilled to provide this unprecedented opportunity for women golfers to visit our world-class resort with a stay-and-play package uniquely tailored for their maximum enjoyment,” says Kelly Sheehan, director of golf sales. “Our professional golf team looks forward to meeting and working with ladies of all skill levels while they enjoy playing and improving in paradise.”
Casa de Campo continues to help grow the game in a variety of ways. Most notably, former President of the PGA of America and one of the country’s top instructors, Suzy Whaley, hosts a women’s golf getaway each December. She was an LPGA Tour member in 1990 and 1993. Most notably, she qualified for and took part in the 2003 Greater Hartford Open, becoming the first woman since Babe Zaharias in 1945 to qualify for a PGA TOUR event. She is the PGA Director of Instruction at Suzy Whaley Golf in Cromwell, Conn.
“We are honored to have such a fruitful relationship with one of the most influential people in the golf industry,” says Robert Birtel, director of golf operations. “In order for the game to continue on its upward participation trajectory, our incredible partners like Suzy are paramount to help share the joy of the game as well as playing at such a special place like Casa de Campo.”
Teeth of the Dog has long been a “bucket list” layout for those seeking to play one of the top 50 golf courses in the world. Dye’s design hallmarks are all present: railroad ties, vast waste areas, peninsula greens and tees, hand-sculpted putting surfaces and a unique assortment of pot bunkers. “The Heaven 7” oceanfront holes are astoundingly beautiful, causing Dye to famously quip: “I created 11 holes and God created seven.”
During the COVID pandemic, the five-star resort initiated its “Casa Cares” program touching virtually every area of the property including significant investment in new equipment and employee training. The robust health and safety practices continue to remain a top priority for its guests. A full list of the measures may be found here.
