(LOS ANGELES) – The LPGA Tour and Outlyr announced today that DIO Implant, a Korean-based premier Dental Implant manufacturer with global business in over 70 countries, has assumed title sponsorship of the LA Open on the LPGA Tour, taking place April 18-24 at Wilshire Country Club.

Kicking off the first of back-to-back LPGA Tour events in Los Angeles, the DIO Implant LA Open will feature a field of 144 of the world’s best female professional golfers competing for a share of a $1.5 million purse. Seven of the top-10 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings are currently committed to the championship, including World No. 2 Nelly Korda, 2019 champion Minjee Lee (4), Danielle Kang (5), Inbee Park (6), Sei Young Kim (7), Nasa Hataoka (8) and defending champion Brooke Henderson (9).

“We are excited to welcome DIO Implant to the LPGA Tour and its family of title sponsors for the 2022 LPGA Tour season,” said Ricki Lasky, Chief Tour Business and Operations Officer for the LPGA. “Our week at Wilshire Country Club is always a special experience and we are appreciative of the DIO Implant team for their support.”

“It is an honor for DIO Implant to partner with the LPGA Tour, a worldwide global organization that has deep roots in Korea," said Jincheol Kim, Founder & Chairman of DIO Implant. "We look forward to working with the LPGA Tour in hosting a world-class tournament at Wilshire Country Club in April.”

The DIO Implant LA Open will welcome the return of spectators to the championship for the first time since 2019. Tickets are now on-sale for the 2022 DIO Implant LA Open exclusively online at www.la-open.com. A variety of ticket packages are available, including exclusive hospitality and general admissions tickets offering a wide degree of entertainment and access.

The DIO Implant LA Open made its debut in 2018, marking the LPGA Tour’s return to Los Angeles in more than a decade. Brooke Henderson captured her 10th LPGA Tour win at 16-under par at the 2021 edition of the championship, contested without fans in attendance. The 2020 edition was canceled due to the pandemic. Wilshire Country Club, which opened in 1919, is one of a select few venues to host events on the LPGA, PGA TOUR and PGA TOUR Champions, as well as the PGA Championship.

The DIO Implant LA Open is owned and operated by Outlyr, a global event management, sponsorship consulting and activation agency.
