(ATLANTA) – Bobby Jones Links, an Atlanta-based club management and consulting company, celebrates another successful year of strategic growth and accolades while entering 2022 with exciting plans and the same mission to foster a culture of service and excellence in the club industry.
The company continued to grow its profile over the past year, adding a multitude of clubs under its management and consulting services. Recent club additions, including the Fox Club in Palm City, FL and Carlisle Country Club in Carlisle, PA, focus on strategically expanding Bobby Jones Links’ footprint beyond its current strongholds, in states such as Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Florida. As a part of this expansion, Bobby Jones Links established a regional satellite office in Naples, FL.
2021 also marked a year of renovations for many Bobby Jones Links’ clubs. Charlie Yates Golf Course, Bay Point Golf Club, the Ooltewah Club, Towhee Club, the Georgia Club, Cobblestone Golf Course and Hope Valley Country Club all saw significant improvements to their facilities, including Charlie Yates' extensive enhancements to its greens and Hope Valley's $1 million renovation to its dining venue.
While Bobby Jones Links always looks to make improvements where possible, the company aims to maintain excellence as well. This can be seen with the extensive accolades its clubs received from GolfPass to wrap up 2021. The following seven properties earned a place in GolfPass rankings, which factor in reviews and comments by golfers:
• Cleveland Country Club: #21 on Best Courses in North Carolina
• Cobblestone Park Golf Club: #7 on Best Courses in South Carolina
• Oak Shadows Golf Club: #16 on Best Courses in Ohio
• The Ooltewah Club: #7 on Best Courses in Tennessee
• Osprey Cove Golf Club: #16 on Top 25 Courses for Pace of Play
• Osprey Cove Golf Club: #13 on Best Courses in Georgia
• Santee National Golf Club: #18 on Best Courses in South Carolina
• Towhee Club: #14 on Top 25 Most Improved Courses
In addition, Bobby Jones Links continues to make updates and additions to its staff as it maintains upward growth. This year, the company welcomed a new business development associate, Thomas Fowler. Fowler is a Class A PGA Professional with seven years of experience at clubs across the U.S.
Looking ahead to 2022, two items for Bobby Jones Links that will continue to expand are culture and consulting. Bobby Jones Links tailors its services and leverages its expertise beyond operations management to work with select clients in areas like capital improvements, project planning and oversight, acquisitions due diligence, organizational structure and leadership assessment and training. Clients who have taken part in Bobby Jones Links' consulting services include Fairfield Glade in Fairfield Glade, TN and Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, MN. Recognized as one of the premier lifestyle communities in Tennessee, Fairfield Glade features five golf courses, 11 lakes with two marinas, miles of hiking trails and both indoor and outdoor racquet facilities. Grand View Lodge, a four-season resort located on the famed Gull Lake, engaged the company to plan and oversee golf course improvements and provide staff leadership training.
"Our consulting services are just one more way for clients to leverage our broad expertise and ability to tailor our services to their specific needs,” said Doug Hellman, president of business development at Bobby Jones Links. "We’re by design a boutique solutions provider that’s quickly becoming recognized for our client-centric, hands-on approach to serving our clients. Our size and depth of resources affords a turnkey solution for our private club, daily fee and master-planned community clients.”
With a continued emphasis on culture and coaching, the company will also work to identify and introduce cultural leaders at each Bobby Jones Links club to provide cultural orientations to all incoming employees. These orientations set the foundation for service standards based on ambassadorship and creating lasting customer and member experiences while also providing information on the history and logistics of the club. Their purpose will be to help each new associate become acclimated and successfully integrate them into the company in a way that remains true to their individual club culture.
As thought leaders in the golf management industry, Bobby Jones Links has recognized several trends that will influence how the company will approach 2022: continued game-ification and alternatives to traditional golf; attracting and retaining employees; a greater focus on the frontline; looking to more creative ways to improve customer and member experiences; managing supply chain and inflation issues; environmental sustainability; increased technology use; and changes in demographics of golfers.
