Loomis Boasts More Than 30 Years of Sports Television Production Experience
(STAMFORD, Conn.) – GOLF Channel has hired veteran Emmy Award-winning producer Mark Loomis as its Senior Vice President of Production, it was announced today.
Loomis will oversee all remote and studio production for GOLF Channel and will report into Molly Solomon, Executive Producer, GOLF Channel and Executive Producer & President, NBC Olympics Production. Loomis will begin in his role at the start of the 2022 calendar year.“We are thrilled to welcome Mark Loomis to the GOLF Channel team,” said Solomon. “Mark is one of the most respected producers in the country. His extensive production experience combined with his passion for the game of golf make him a great fit to oversee our GOLF Channel remote and studio coverage.”
Loomis brings more than 30 years of golf and sports television production experience to the role, most recently serving as Executive Producer of FOX Sports’ golf remote and studio production, where he produced and developed their coverage of the USGA Championships.
Loomis’ prior roles in sports television include serving as MLB Network executive producer (2012-2013); coordinating producer for ESPN’s golf, college football and college basketball coverage (2009-2011); and coordinating producer for NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football production (2006-2009). Loomis began his serving as producer at ABC Sports for more than 15 years, where he produced golf, college football and college basketball.
Loomis is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where he was a member of the men’s golf team from 1986-89.
