New Colors, Distinctive Flair Highlight the ahead Spring 2022 Apparel Line

(NEW BEDFORD, Mass.)
— With the rollout of its Spring 2022 apparel for men and women, ahead continues to deliver on current trends, exciting colors, and wearable performance.

Ahead’s men’s seasonal offering includes three new men’s collections, introducing first-time colors paired with timeless hues to provide an elevated yet athletic look. A vibrant combination of raspberry, black and carbon come together in a well merchandised collection highlighted by the Berkshire, a chest stripe tying all of the colors together.

In addition to the Dillon multi-stripe and Vineyard grapevine tone-on-tone print, the collection goes to the next level with the Cocktails polo, a craft cocktail-themed microprint of vodka bottles, martini glasses, and olives. Chuck Lord, ahead’s chief creative officer, said the company has found a popular niche with the microprint shirts as they’re viewed as a fun wardrobe addition to complement the sport’s more traditional look.

The second men’s offering sees a light blue aptly named haze with a light coral palisade grounded with true navy.  The Cascade brings the current tie dye trend to a golf polo with the tie dye pattern of haze and navy crossing the chest and accented by a bolt of palisade and is the highlight piece of the group.

The third collection marks the debut of two new colors for men – dusk (purple) and spray (teal). Combined with steel, the collection features solids, stripes, and multi patterns for a sophisticated yet athletic appearance.  The Havana, a muted plaid combining shades of dusk and steel and the Durango mini print in spray serve to anchor the group.

“We’re ushering in some new colors and adding some flair to our men’s shirts for Spring 2022,” Lord said. “One thing that resonates with our customers—‘Look good, feel good, play good.’ We’ve tried to cater to that mindset.”

Several new styles and colors have been added to ahead’s array of mid-layer options. The Firestone features a heathered camouflage print in both navy and white. Among the new outerwear options are two new attractive color combinations for the Campbell short-sleeve half-zip wind shirt—slate/carbon and stone/steel.

The t-shirt collection also has some exciting additions.  The Chapman garment dye short-sleeve t-shirts is available in nine great colors, including a red called lobster, a nod to ahead’s New England roots.  Spring ’22 also brings a long sleeve version to the best-selling “instant classic” t-shirt offering, engineered to get that well-loved look in just a few washings.

Two new Spring ’22 collections for Kate Lord focus on athleisure pieces that look equally attractive on and off the course. The first collection blends ballet (pink) with carbon, and features two eye-catching prints, a carbon snakeskin and a muted multi print featuring all of the colors in the group.  Both prints are used throughout the collection in a multitude of fun yet wearable ways.

The second Kate Lord collection offers a feminine interpretation of camouflage in a shade of wearable lilac paired with white. The Pleasant View long sleeve overknit features flattering cinched ruching at the side seams while the Sedalia takes a white polo to the next level with unexpected hem detail utilizing a semi sheer fabrication.

Three new patterns make their debut for Spring ’22 in the Idalia sun shirt—tie-dye brush, cloud camo, and a brush plaid that offers a vibrant combination of pinks and oranges.

Ahead continues to set the bar for ladies’ lifestyle wear with the new Autumn full zip with ribbed detail on the sleeves and side panel.
