Augusta's West Lake CC Completes Greens Renovation

(Augusta, GA) - West Lake Country Club, a course designed by Donald Ross protégé Ellis Maples, recently underwent a total greens renovation and the results are stellar.

“Some of the green contours were softened,” said Andy Crowe, General Manager.  “Where greens had shrunk, the original footprints were restored and all 18 greens were replanted in Champions Bermuda.”

The greens were reopened in September and according to Crowe, the member reviews have been overwhelmingly positive.  The course, which plays to 6900 yards, is one of the area’s prestige venues and is particularly popular each April when golfers and fans from around the world descend upon the area.

This renovation comes on the heels of ongoing investment by Concert Golf Partners, including a refurbishment of the clubhouse in 2016, practice facility updates in 2017, and enhancement of racquet sports venues last year.
