PGA of America Forms Strategic Alliance with the Novaland Group

The first PGA of America-branded facility in Vietnam to be developed in Bình Thuận Province on the Southeast Coast

(PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla.) – The PGA of America has formed a strategic alliance with the Novaland Group, one of the largest property developers in Vietnam, to create PGA of America-branded facilities, with a focus on coaching and the overall development of golf in the country. The agreement marks the first-ever licensing partnership for the PGA of America in Vietnam, as it looks to support the growth of the game internationally.

The primary location of the partnership will feature projects planned by Novaland in the Bình Thuận Province, the first being a Greg Norman designed facility in the region’s capital, Phan Thiet. To drive sustainable growth-of-the-game efforts in Vietnam, these PGA-affiliated facilities will feature junior and adult coaching programs, as well as providing exposure for local Vietnamese professionals to learn from experienced PGA Professionals.

“Vietnam is one of the fastest growing golf tourism markets in the world, and we’re seeing the game of golf utilized as a key vehicle for that growth,” said PGA of America Chief Innovation Officer Arjun Chowdri. “We are incredibly excited to partner with such a well-renowned company in Novaland that is committed to the development of the game and will help us position the PGA of America and PGA Professionals at the forefront of that growth.”

Mr. Bui Xuan Huy, CEO of Novaland, said: “Binh Thuận holds great potential to develop golf tourism. The signing with the PGA of America aims to bring a new standard of golf academies and golf course operational standards to Vietnam. We expect that the cooperation will help the group create a breakthrough and assist localities in building an image as a ‘destination for the foreign and domestic high-grade golf client segment.’”
