Troon Celebrates Women's Golf Month at Courses Worldwide with Clinics and Social Events

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Throughout June, Troon, the leader in club management, development, and marketing, is celebrating “Troon Women’s Golf Month” at hundreds of Troon-affiliated facilities around the world. Troon’s Women’s Golf Month is held in conjunction with International Women’s Golf Day on Tuesday, June 4th. Now in its fifth year, the goal of Troon Women’s Golf Month is to introduce more golfers to the game.

Examples of Troon Women’s Golf Month programming around the globe include:
Ak-Chin Southern Dunes – Maricopa, Arizona
Every Saturday in June from 9 to 10 AM, Ak-Chin Southern Dunes Associate Golf Professional Amanda Myers will host a Ladies Clinic. The Club at Cordillera – Vail, Colorado
Each week in June, Troon’s Director of Education and Coaching Tim Mahoney and the Cordillera team will conduct three Ladies Clinics at Cordillera, including: Margarita Mondays, Cosmo Wednesdays and the Friday Ladies Clinic. Las Colinas Golf & Country Club – Alicante, Spain
Las Colinas Golf & Country Club in Spain will host a Ladies Introduction to Golf Clinic on Tuesday, June 4 from 5:30 to 7 PM. The event includes professional instruction, cocktails, raffle and special prizes and golf equipment for those who need it. www.lascolinasgolf.es

Kapalua Golf – Maui, Hawaii
Kapalua has created the “Kapalua Women’s Day” on Sunday, June 2 that includes a complimentary instructional clinic with Kapalua PGA Professionals, followed by appetizers/pupus. Mauna Lani Golf – Kohala Coast, Hawaii
Every Saturday afternoon in June at Mauna Lani is a Sipping Saturday. Enjoy a glass of wine while improving different parts of your game. Saadiyat Beach Golf Club – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Saadiyat Beach Golf Club in Abu Dhabi will host Ladies’ Day every Monday throughout June in which Ladies can play 18 holes for only AED 105 and receive a glass of sparkling wine after their round, plus complimentary use of the practice facilities throughout the day. In addition, the club will host Ladies Nights aimed at putting the “fun” in golf fundamentals. www.sbgolfclub.ae

Westhaven – Franklin, Tennessee
Westhaven Golf Club will host a variety of events for Women’s Golf Month. On June 11 and 25 Westhaven will hold complimentary Beginners Golf Clinics at 5:30 PM that are open to members and guests. In addition, Westhaven will also host a free “Fore Girls Only” Junior Golf Clinic (open to girls 6 to 13) on June 22 from 1 to 2 PM. www.golfwesthaven.com

Westin Kierland Golf Club – Scottsdale, Arizona
On Tuesday, June 4, Lindy LaBauve will be executing a Women’s Golf Day morning golf clinic from 10 to 11:15 AM for $25. The clinic will focus on chipping, pitching and full swing. Special merchandise discounts will be offered to clinic participants. Register or sign up via LLaBauve@troon.com.

Whirlwind Golf Club – Chandler, Arizona
Every Saturday during the month of June, Whirlwind Golf Club will be hosting a “Saturday Par-Tee Ladies Clinic” from 9 to 10 AM. The cost is just $30 per guest and includes instruction, use of Callaway Club rentals and one Bloody Mary. For details or to RSVP, e-mail SScott@troon.com.

During the month of June (and throughout the year), Troon facilities offer “Get Into Golf” clinics. The Get Into Golf program provides all the tools necessary to give golf a test run, including golf clubs and golf balls, practice range time, a weekly ‘intro to golf’ clinic and ending with a three-hole test run – so participants can get a taste of what it’s like to be on a golf course in a friendly, fun and non-competitive atmosphere.
