Tierra Rejada Celebrates 20th Anniversary

Top Simi Valley golf club will offer special festivities, golf events, live music showcases and more

(DALLAS) — Tierra Rejada Golf Club – one of the most popular public golf clubs in California’s Simi Valley and managed by Arcis Golf — will celebrate its 20th anniversary on Saturday, May 18. The full day of events, all open to the public, will include a variety of golf activities and equipment demos, barbecue and beverages, live music, and additional festivities. The Fleetwood Mac tribute band “Twisted Gypsy” will put on an evening show to cap off the celebration.

Although Tierra Rejada Golf Club actually opened in December 1999, the anniversary event is being held a few months early.

“We couldn’t wait to celebrate,” said Kris Dennis, club general manager. “And this way we can pay tribute to the golf course and enjoy the anniversary all year.”

The course, designed by renowned architect Bob Cupp, is well known for the natural beauty of its rolling hills, stunning views of the valley and nearby Reagan Presidential Library, and its combination of challenge and fun for all level of golfers.

Tierra Rejada Golf Club is famous for its 11th hole, which is dedicated to Ronald Reagan, the 40th President of the United States. The tee box on the downhill par 3, which plays directly toward the Reagan Library, features a commemorative plaque created by the Reagan Foundation.

“Tierra Rejada is a special member of our growing family of one-of-a-kind lifestyle properties,” said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf, the second-largest owner and operator of golf facilities in the United States. “It’s an exceptional golf club that delivers a variety of different experiences to its players.  Plus, it’s a beautiful facility on spectacular land, with that unique touch of history thanks to our association with the Reagan Library.”

The celebration also lets Tierra Rejada show off its revitalized facilities. Since Arcis Golf took over management last summer, the club has benefitted from major investment, including significant turf reconditioning; a new, computer-efficient irrigation system; complete refurbishment of the practice range and chipping green; and renovation of the clubhouse bar and adjoining patio, supported by new kitchen equipment and a fresh menu of new selections and old favorites.

Arcis Golf’s footprint in the Southland also includes The Oaks Club at Valencia and Valencia Country Club, two upscale, private-lifestyle properties literally “across the street” from one another along Interstate 5 in Santa Clarita, as well as Los Robles Greens – acclaimed for its recent golf course renovation – in Thousand Oaks. Tierra Rejada is approximately 50 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.

Dallas-based Arcis Golf is a recognized industry leader in providing inventive direction and unrivaled lifestyle amenities that complement exceptional playing experiences. The Arcis Golf portfolio of owned and operated clubs now includes 65 private, resort, and daily-fee club clubs throughout the United States.
