Troon Selected to Manage the Golf Operations for The Bay Club Company

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Troon, the leader in golf course management, development, and marketing, has been selected to manage the golf operations for The Bay Club Company (“Bay Club”) and their growing collection of award-winning golf properties throughout the West Coast. Troon will oversee the club operations and agronomy at StoneTree Golf Club in Novato, Boulder Ridge Golf Club in San Jose and Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe.

The Bay Club portfolio encompasses a collection of 26 properties across nine active lifestyle campuses in California and Oregon focused on fitness, sports, family and hospitality. Members of Bay Club enjoy a range of high-end lifestyle amenities typically only found at country clubs and luxury resorts. Founded in 1977, Bay Club is recognized as the pioneer of the urban sports resort. Currently, three Bay Club campuses offer golf as a member amenity. In addition to playing award-winning golf courses, members can enjoy casual pre- and post-round dining, regular member-only tournaments and events, professional instruction, practice facility access, and resort-style clubhouses.

“Bay Club presents an innovative concept in which members can experience an array of lifestyle amenities at a variety of locations,” said Mike Ryan, chief operating officer, Troon. “We are excited about this new partnership and look forward to growing with Bay Club as they expand into more markets.”

Set on 132 acres of pristine greens, shaded oak groves, and rolling golden hills, StoneTree Golf Club is located about 30 minutes north of San Francisco. The course opened in 2000 and was designed by Sandy Tatum and Johnny Miller.

Spanning more than 300 acres between the Almaden and Blossom Valleys in San Jose, Boulder Ridge Golf Club boasts breathtaking vistas of the entire South Bay. The 6,923-yard, par 72 course opened in 2001 and is a Brad Benz and Ross Forbes design.

Fairbanks Ranch Country Club in Rancho Santa Fe boasts The Valley, Lakes, and Ocean “nines.” Ted Robinson designed the picturesque 27-hole facility with beautiful lakes, elevated tee boxes and generous fairways.

“Our new partnership with Troon will enhance current member experiences while allowing us to significantly increase the number of golf properties within our portfolio,” said Bay Club President & CEO Matthew Stevens.

Adding to an already impressive assortment of member benefits, Bay Club members will now have access to extraordinary golf and lifestyle experience benefits around the world through the Troon Privé Privileges program.
