Tour-Quality Greens Guides Will Be Available at Prestigious Amateur Event
(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) - Participants in the 2018 Northeast Amateur Invitational will have access to same type of greens guides the event’s high profile alumni are using on the PGA Tour.
StrackaLine scanned Wannamoisett Country Club, host of the Northeast Am, and one of New England’s most highly regarded courses will have greens guides available for this year’s tournament.
The 57th annual event will be played June 20-23. Among the Northeast Am’s former champions are Dustin Johnson, David Duval, Peter Uihlein, Anthony Kim, Luke Donald and Ben Crenshaw.
“The Northeast Am is one of amteur golf’s major championships, and Wannamoisett is one of America’s premier courses,” said Jim Stracka, president of StrackaLine. “We can’t wait to provide the game’s next generation of stars with the greens guides they will be using in college and potentially at the professional level.”
A Donald Ross design, Wannamoisett is the No. 2 course in Rhode Island and ranked among America’s 150 Greatest Courses by Golf Digest.

The Northeast Amateur Invitational is considered a ‘major’ in amateur golf. It is the only 72 hole amateur event played in twosomes, and has been given the name of “Masters of Amateur Golf” by a noted senior golf writer. Wannamoisett has long been the host of the event.
