(DOMINICAN REPUBLIC) – The fourth edition of the Dominican Republic Golf Travel Exchange 2017 will have as main speaker American well-known strategist, James J. Keegan. Keegan has developed a unique process that strengthens the profitability, value and return on investment of golf courses and will be leading the conference, “Dominican Republic Golf: Imaging the Possibilities: A Quantitative View to Achieve International Prominence.”
The DR Golf Exchange will take place September 10-14, 2017 at the adults-only Secrets Cap Cana Resort & Spa, the newest Unlimited-Luxury property from AMResorts in the country, located within the exclusive gated community of Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. The event serves to promote Dominican Republic and its world-class golf offerings with international tour operators and golf media from around the globe.
Keegan is a celebrated writer who has published five books about the golf industry, including his award-winning “Business of Golf: What Are You Thinking?”, which has served as reference of financial performance for the most prestigious golf courses around the world. Furthermore, his book “The Business of Golf: Why? How? What?”, also serves as a reference for professionals in the industry.
In 2016, Keegan was voted one of the 10 most influential golf consultants of golf by the prestigious magazine Golf Inc., and is currently a panelist for The Top 100 golf courses for Golf Magazine. He has participated in more than 250 courses world-wide and has served as an adviser in addition to obtaining authority in major golf tournaments, including local and regional qualifiers for the U.S. Open and the World Club Championship.
Due to his knowledge and contributions, Keegan’s publications are frequently read by golf fans, college students and personnel looking to amplify their industry knowledge.
James J. Keegan is a member of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), the Club Manager’s Association of America, the National Golf Foundation, and of the National Golf Course Owner’s Association.
New in 2017, the event will feature a forum where participants can engage in the workshop through prescheduled appointments. Additionally, delegates will play in a two-round tournament which includes the Jack Nicklaus-designed Punta Espada Golf Course, and the P.B. Dye’s La Cana Golf Course.
