Links Course at Arizona Biltmore Golf Club Undergoing Bunker Renovation

(Phoenix, Ariz.) – The Links Course at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club is undergoing an extensive bunker renovation project. The golf course will remain open for play during the project, which is expected to be completed by the end of July. The bunker renovation is being led by Arizona Biltmore Golf Club General Manager and golf industry veteran Dick Bates and the club’s agronomy team.

“The new sand that we’re putting in the bunkers is finer and will allow for better drainage,” said Justin Creighton, head golf professional, Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. “The new sand will also provide ‘fluffier lies’ making it easier for golfers to hit shots out of the bunkers.”

The Bill Johnston-designed Links Course opened in 1978 and is considered one of the best daily fee courses in the downtown Phoenix area.

The Arizona Biltmore Golf Club and its two golf courses, Links and Adobe, are located in the shadow of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.  The Adobe golf course is considered stately and grand, a forefather of modern design, and is one of the most established golf courses in Phoenix. The lush, 50 year-old fairways and spacious layout are a reminder of the game the way it was meant to be. The Links Course, the younger of the two Biltmore courses, has earned the respect of golfers everywhere as one of Arizona’s premier golf courses. Rolling fairways lined with pines meander through some of the most stunning homes in Phoenix.
