Troon Selected To Manage Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction, Colorado

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Troon, the leader in golf course management, development, and marketing has been selected to manage Bookcliff Country Club in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Tucked into the scenic western slope of Colorado, Bookcliff Country Club opened in 1958 and is the only private club in Grand Junction. In addition to a beautiful 18-hole Dick Phelps-designed golf course, Bookcliff features a new clubhouse, five tennis courts including pickle ball, a heated swimming pool complex, spa and massage services and a fitness facility outfitted with top-of-the-line exercise equipment and a knowledgeable training staff. The club’s casual and comfortable environment makes it the perfect place for the entire family, while still offering the high quality found in a country club atmosphere. There are many activities and programs, including golf for juniors, women, and couples, live music, wine and food events, poolside activities, kids’ summer camps, and fitness and tennis classes. The event calendar features everything from intimate private events to tournaments and celebrations that showcase the depth of the club’s amenities and fun loving membership.

“Bookcliff is a terrific family club with outstanding facilities and member programming,” said Jim McLaughlin, senior vice president, Troon Privé Operations. “Our team will look to raise the service levels, identify ways to improve the food and beverage operations and ultimately begin the process of recruiting new members.”

Food and beverage options at Bookcliff include a casual bar, fine dining in the Bookcliff Restaurant and a pool-side grill. The Bookcliff Restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and for breakfast on Sundays. In addition, the club’s event facilities can accommodate up to 200 guests for weddings, meetings and other private functions.

“After an extensive five-month long review process of club management companies, we are excited to be working with Troon Privé,” said Cathie Zarlingo, president, Bookcliff Country Club. “Troon Privé brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the club and will undoubtedly help us reach our goal of growing our membership base. The addition of the Troon Privé Privilege program, which provides BCC members with access to Troon's portfolio of world-class private clubs, has already been a terrific selling point for potential members.”
