RTJ Capitol Hill Golf Courses Recovering from Floods; All Courses Open by Jan. 9

(Prattville, Ala.) - Flood waters from the Alabama River are returning to normal levels, which is great news for golfers in Central Alabama. The Senator and Legislator courses in Prattville at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail's Capitol Hill location are fully open. Both have 90 degree rule with carts and all bunker work on the Legislator should be completed today, according to Mike Beverly, director of golf at RTJ Capitol Hill.

"I rode all of the holes on the Judge course yesterday and am truly amazed how good the golf course is," said Beverly. "We have some clean up to do consisting mostly of bunker work but the course should be open no later than Saturday, Jan. 9. We have already mowed almost all of the fairways and greens and they are all fine."

The Judge course has been closed since Christmas Day but will be available for play this weekend.

The Senator Course, home of the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic, was not flooded and has remained open.
