TaylorMade’s M1 Driver Becomes #1 Played Model in Its First Week on PGA Tour, European Tour

(CARLSBAD, CALIF.) – In its inaugural week on both the PGA TOUR and European Tour, TaylorMade’s M1 Driver has become the number one played model on Tour at this week’s BMW Championship and Open D’Italia, respectively. With the stakes as high as they are this late in the season and players rarely making equipment changes, a multitude of players made an immediate switch based on the impressive results they saw in testing.

In just two days of fitting prior to the first round of the penultimate tournament in the FedExCup Playoffs, a total of 16 TaylorMade Tour staff players tested and were fitted into M1, electing to immediately put the company’s longest driver ever** into their bags; a true testament to the unrivaled performance of M1 in its maiden week on Tour.

The list of players who made the switch into M1 460 for the BMW Championship include:

Additionally, 4 more players added the M1 430 to their bags on Thursday. They include:

· Rory Sabbatini

At the European Tour’s 72° Open D’Italia, 25 players were fit into the M1 driver this week, having only seen the product for the first time on Monday. By the start of play, M1 was the leading driver model in the field, with many more players expected to add it to the bag over the coming weeks.
