Poll Results - Marking Your Ball

I recently posted a poll on Google+ asking what method golfers used to mark their ball. Of those responding, 64 percent use a Sharpie, which didn't come as a surprise. Only 7 percent, each, used "personalized" marking options Tin Cup or Golfdotz. That left 23 percent using nothing to mark their balls. I was initially surprised that almost a quarter of golfers don't mark their balls, but assume they check with their playing partners on the first tee to make sure they're not using the same ball.

That leads me to another question: When using a Sharpie, how do you mark your ball? A simple dot near the number? A line through the brand? Quick sketch? Initials?
