(PHILADELPHIA, Pa.) - Once again the GolfTalk Live radio show - voted the No. 1 Golf Radio Show in America three times in the last six years - will be providing an expanded series of coverage for Myrtle Beach and many of the activities taking place in America's golf capitol ... aka GolfTown, USA. Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, the premier marketing company for Myrtle Beach has renewed its partnership with GolfTalk Live for a seventh year.
The coverage will begin February 1 and last for a full nine months. Commercial spots featuring Myrtle Beach and different promotions regarding the destination will air weekly on the radio show, as well as during the week adjacent to the GolfTalk Minute commentary.
In addition, weekly "Myrtle Beach Reports" will begin running in February and continue for three months. They include interviews with golf course operators from 13 different golf properties throughout the Greater Myrtle Beach area and provide listeners with valuable information about where to stay and play. Full information on Myrtle Beach can be obtained by going to www.myrtlebeachgolfholiday.com.
To kick off the excitement for the upcoming spring season in Myrtle Beach, GolfTalk Live show host Tony Leodora will do the radio show from Myrtle Beach on Saturday, February 21. It will focus on the area as it gears up for the spring season, as well as events scheduled in Myrtle Beach throughout the year.
During the February 21 show a Myrtle Beach golf trip will be given away to a lucky golfer. Entries will be collected at the GolfTalk Live booth the previous week during the Philadelphia Golf Show in Oaks.
Two more GolfTalk Live shows will come from Myrtle Beach - August 22 and 29. The first will preview the Myrtle Beach World Amateur Handicap Championship, the world's largest golf tournament. The second will include highlights from the week of competition, including the eventual winner.
During that week Tony Leodora will write a series of daily blog stories, detailing the competition on the golf course during the day and activities in the World's Largest 19th Hole every night. His first-person accounts of the World Am have become popular annual features.
"The excitement of golf in Myrtle Beach has been an annual part of my life since 1985," says Leodora. "I make two, three, four trips a year and never tire of the great golf, the beautiful beaches and the fun nightlife. It's very satisfying to know that we have been bringing this message to so many people over the years. It is part of the continued growth of Myrtle Beach."
GolfTalk Live airs 52 weeks a year from 7 to 8 a.m. each Saturday on flagship station WNTP 990-AM in Philadelphia, as well as from 3 to 4 p.m. on WOND 1400-AM in South Jersey and on The Golf Director Network across the country and around the world. It also can be heard live on www.wntp.com, as well as any time after the show airs, by going to the website, www.golftalklive.net.
