(OWASSO, Okla.) – Folds of Honor Foundation will once again host the Patriot Cup Gala on Sunday, May 25 with a special concert to follow on Monday, May 26 at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa. A limited number of tickets are available for $600 per couple and can be purchased by contacting Folds of Honor at 918-274-4700.
The gala will precede the Patriot Cup, a made-for-TV golf tournament held at The Patriot Golf Club that pairs PGA TOUR players and celebrities with active and non-active military on Memorial Day. All of the weekend’s activities all benefit Folds of Honor, an organization that provides educational scholarships to the spouses and dependents of military members killed or disabled while serving our great nation.
“It’s inspiring to see the Tulsa community come together year after year to honor the men and women who have given so much for our country,” said Major Dan Rooney, Folds of Honor founder and former F-16 fighter pilot. “People have truly embraced the Folds of Honor mission, making the gala and concert two of the community’s favorite events each year.”
The gala begins with a cocktail reception at 7:30 p.m., with the black tie gala dinner beginning at 8 p.m. The Corporal Brock Bucklin Patriot Award will be presented to PGA TOUR player and local favorite Rickie Fowler. Previous winners include former President George H. W. Bush (2010), PGA Tour player Corey Pavin (2011), country music star Vince Gill (2012) and golf legend Jack Nicklaus (2013).
Bringing the Patriot Cup Memorial Day weekend activities to a close is a benefit concert to be performed by a very special artist at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa beginning at 6:30 p.m. More information to come on the concert performer.
